Vampire The Masquerade Episode 2! - 05-13-2005, 10:18 PM

Episode 2: The Embrace.

Merrick's descent into a World of Darkness continues as he wakes up in Virginia's room tied down to her bed. WARNING!!! This episode contains violence, strong language and mature situations.

http://voiceacting.co.uk/hosted/VTM/episode%202.mp3

Cast:

Merrick Steele: EB_Nall

Virginia Esposito: Mizura

Baron Francis Ravencroft: Nick Tiner (real awesome in my opinion)

Prince Nigel Wellington: Edwyn (veteran alert!)

Music and atmosphere ripped from the VTM Bloodlines game and the Elemental Gearbolt Soundtrack.

As always, reviews are welcome.

Enjoy.

Hmmm..

Well EB... You know I've been looking foraward to hearing the second part of this. You did better then I had hoped. You stuck very well with in the lines of the atmosphere and ambience that is the World of Darkness.

EB: Good job.. I like the alternating between the Kindred Merrick and the mortal Merrick. Good emotion... I'm into the character.

Miz: Well do i really need to review you? I told you what I thought about the character.. I'm happy to see you stretch your limits on character roles. You did a wonderful job.

Nick: Sounded like the caring father figure to Merrick. Very well done.

Edwyn: Very arrogant... commanding.. and disgusted by all who are below you.. The true nature of a Ventrue. Really liked you attitude towards the crowd. And especially the part about the Assamites. Good job.

Mixing: Well done.

Overall: I truly enjoyed it. Keep up the great work EB. And course you know.. anything else you need from me.. Just ask.. When I am around anyhow.

I love this episode! Infact, I think you improoved compare to the last episode I saw. I really like the way you mixed this, very decent!

As for the voice acting, it's awesome! I really like how all the roles were done, they were filled with a lot of emotion, and it's just awesome.

EB_Nall: Good job, your voice is awesome for this role, just as your last episode. Your character narration is awesome!

Mizura: wow! I dont know what to say! you are one evil little girl! You really went beyond with your vocal range this time. The screams were soo real! awesome job Miz!

Nick Tiner and Edwyn, you both did your roles really well too. Loved the voices!

The script was very well written to. I reall like what I hear. You combined humour, with spookyness, and action. It's just awesome, a lot of thought has definately been put into this

I am very, very impressed.

I love the acting, and the script and actual words are great.

Keep it up. Seriously.

It's good to see your keeping up with this. What's it been? Only a couple of weeks since you finished the first episode? Your production rate is impressive, as is your cast.

Merrick Steele: EB_Nall) Acting in your own production, there are verying points of view on self casting as you've probably read on this board. If you can carry it off then what's the problem? Action scenes you may need to look at and work on, I sence your holding back a little. Apart from that good job.

Virginia Esposito: Mizura) By good god dam you can cut a fresh slice of evil when you put your mind to it.

Baron Francis Ravencroft: Nick Tiner) Very Hellraiseresque delivery, like some great cog of an insane infernal machine your tired, jaded, impossibly old and yet still you have a duty to turn.

Prince Nigel Wellington: Edwyn) Well, well, well, Ed's back doing what Ed does best.... dripping slices of decadence that would put the Hellfire club's bumper Christmas hamper to shame.

Mixing) Loads of layers, so that's all for the good. Competent scene changes (always tricky) some effects were a little rough around the edges, but then you can tweek till your blue in the face, it's a law of deminishing returns.

Not as remembered V:TM, but it was OK. Then again, my knowledge of V:TM is based on "The Kindred" and a chat room.

*Raises hand* Another converted!
Great job EB, I had no idea you were into mixing as well as acting. I have no idea about VTM, but this sounded excellent anyway. Merrick was very cool. Like D.A. said, your contrast between mortal and badass Merrick was nicely done.

Mizura, I always love you in stuff, and you made Virginia sound like a total biznatch =D When you hit freak-mode before getting shot at it was just nasty... gave me goosebumps I tells ya!

Nick, never heard you before, but the Baron was a joy to listen to. Reminded me a bit of Dwight from Sin City; quite deep and crisp - very professional ;]

Edwyn, playing a guy named Nigel Wellington, how could you go wrong? The well-spoken, nasal authorative tone was superb... very devious.

Mixing was lovely, except for some minor background noise clashing between parts. Bit of a shame considering the timing and flow of everything else. Well done to everyone on the whole - really impressive.

For your approval, ladies and gentlemen. For your enjoyment.
