a;lhdsf;lk YES. IT'S. OUT.
I loved it. *-* Everyone was so good with their roles~ The mixing was great too! ^^
Here's my critique:
LG65/Yuichi Aizawa & Man #1 - I liked your Yuichi! :3 The emotion was very good and the pitch was good. It just sounded slightly rough in some places... it's hard to explain. D: But I thought your voice fit him well and you did a great job! ^^ There's not much to critique on for your man voice (XD) but it sounded manly! XD That's good.
Katsu/Ayu Tsukimiya - Your microphone is bad and your voice sounds annoying and screechy. o_o;
Sayaka/Nayuki Minase & Mai Kawasumi - Your Nayuki really surprised me! It was so cute. X3 The pitch was great and so was the emotion. I really loved it. xwx Your Mai was great as well. :3 You have such a large range. XD[LEFT]
ichigo_m/Akiko Minase - Another one that surprised me. owo I usually hear you in more energetic/cute roles and your soft, gentle and mature Akiko voice really surprised me! It sounds so pretty and natural - I really loved it. ^^ Good job!
Estellise/Sayuri Kurata & Young Ayu Tsukimiya - Mini me~ XD Your Young Ayu was very cute and fitting. :3 The crying just sounded slightly off to me though. >.< But other than that it was very good. I loved your Sayuri too! :3
uddictiun/Kaori Misaka - I loved the voice you used for her! The tone was very good andyour voice just overall fit her very well. Hm.. not much more I can say. XD
Ramune/Jun Kitagawa - Ahaha, I loved it. X3 Your voice fit him very well and your emotion was good. I loved your 'jelous' and yelling lines. XD
Brooke Lynn/Shiori Misaka - Not very much to critique on but I liked it!
Tsuki-Neko/Girl who speaks to Shiori - Again not much to critique on but very fitting.
AmyAnn Burke/Dream Girl - Your voice sounds so pretty and majestic here, Amy-chan. *-* I loved it!
BrioCyrain/Taiyaki Shop Owner - Not very much to critique on but I liked it! You sounded like such a kind Taiyaki shop owner. X3
Taru Cha/Waitress - Again, not much but it fit~ I liked the voice you used. :3
blueyedblonde482/Young Yuichi Aizawa - So cute! X3 Your Young Yuichi voice fit very well. I loved it!
Randommirokulover/Young Nayuki Minase - The static was sort of distracting, but I liked your voice! It was soft and kind, fitting for a young Nayuki. x3
Jefferz/Man #2 - Not much to critique but I liked it! It was a manly voice that fit a man. XD
NikkiKora/Woman - Again, not much to critique, but it fit. :3 I liked it~ XD
LittleStar/OP Singer - You're such a good singer, Star-chan. D: I love it! X3
Mixing - The mixing was overall very good~ The clip quality was kind of off but it might just be the host site. Mostly all of the lip flaps fit, the BGM was fitting and the sfx were good. ^^ The only complaint I have was that the footsteps were a tiny bit loud. Also, the echo on the Dream Girls voice was a bit much but I could still make out what she was saying if I listened closely. Overall, a very good job, LG! ^^
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this project (and with such a great cast *-*)! Kanon is much love. :3

I'd like to apologize in advance if I sound overly harsh. I don't mean to, I'm just trying my best to give out helpful advice to make everyone a bit better. <3
Yuichi Aizawa (LG65) - First of all, congratulations on getting this done. Anyway, onto the critique: at some points, I felt as if your emotion was lacking - or it wasn't right for the scene. For example, your more narrative lines felt more like you were trying to give suspense when originally, it shouldn't be like that. I also felt at some points, your voice was too gruff-sounding for the character, as Katsu had said. I'd also watch out for enunciation, because at some points, your lines seemed pretty slurred. Oh! In your lines, you had some puffs, so watch out for that as well.
Nayuki Minase (Sayaka) - Your voice fits Nayuki almost perfectly! You made her sound sleepy and groggy like she's supposed to be, but you made sure to keep in your emotions. I'd still watch out for enunciation, too. At some points, it was hard to understand what you were saying, so watch out for it next time.
Akiko Minase (ichigo_m) - I can't really find anything to critique. You sounded motherly and yet youthful at the same time, which is a good quality for Akiko. Emotion was delivered well and spot on, too! <3 Great job!
Kaori Misaka (uddictiun) - I liked the tone and voice you pulled up for her. It was mature and proper, like should be. However, I felt that at some points, your emotion was lacking a little bit. I also felt that your lines seemed a bit rushed, but that might be more of scripting problem than anything else. Nice job.
Jun Kitagawa (Ramune) - I can't critique it, honestly. You did wonderful with both emotion and tone. I really liked the voice you used for the character.
Ayu Tsukimiya (Katsu) - Aww! You're super adorable as her! Don't be so harsh on yourself. You got her emotion down rather nicely. The only problem I noticed was your microphone quality seemed a bit hollow-ish, but it's okay. It's not really your fault. You did wonderful.
Younger Nayuki Minase (Randommirokulover) - Yeah, like Katsu said, the static in the background felt kind of annoying to listen to. Don't be afraid to put more emotion into your lines. They kind of seemed like they were being read. D; I'd also have to say to try working on a higher voice for her, considering she's only around nine or ten, and she sounds older than older!Nayuki.
Younger Yuichi Aizawa (blueeyedblonde842) - I have no complaints here. You did a nice job as a younger Yuichi. You didn't sound too feminine, but you didn't sound too masculine, either. However, at some points, your lines seemed a little choppy sounding and very read.
Younger Ayu Tsukimiya (Estellise) - You sounded VERY similar to Katsu, which made the dub even more realistic sounding. Emotion seemed really well, too - except watch out for the crying. It kind of sounded fake and forced. But, crying is the hardest thing to make sound convincing. Keep practicing. <3
Extras (EVERYONE WHO PLAYED THEM) - Haha, yeah. I'm including even the main characters who didn't have big roles in this episode. There's really nothing to critique because you all rather well. <3 Good job, everyone.
Mixing - I can't really critique mixing. There were limited SFX, so it made it less enjoyable and less professional for me. At points, the lip flaps seemed off, too... but that seemed more like a scripting problem than anything.

=]] Thank you Katsu.
Thanks to Konata, too, and I definitely agree about the emotion comment and rushing. I don't think it was the scripting, though, since I'm still kind of a voicing newbie to begin with, haha. xD

Yuichi Aizawa/LG65 - Awesome for releasing this LG! <3 Now for your Yuichi, I thought your voice was too gruff sounding for the character. At times it sounded really good, but you slurred in your words occastionally, sort of with an accent. Just as Konata said, I did hear a couple puffs here and there, so watch out for those!
Nayuki Minase/Sayaka - I love your Nayuki! She sounds really air-headed and yet really cute! I really have nothing else to critique! Good job!
Akiko Minase/ichigo_m - I LOVE YOUR MOTHERLY VOICE! Great job, your emotion was spot on, and it was pulled off very well. I have nothing to critique.
Kaori Misaka/uddictiun - I really liked your Kaori, she sounds polite and sweet just as you made her sound. I see the only thing I can critique on is your emotion, it seemed to have lacked a bit, don't hold back now! Awesome job!
Jun Kitagawa/Ramune - I loved the performance with this character! You really have the emotion and sort of tone I'd imagine. Really great job, not really anything to critique!
Ayu Tsukimiya/Katsu - I really loved your Ayu! It was cute and adorable and your emotion was pulled off great! The only really thing I can critique is your microphone, it was really screechy and hollow like at times, but I really don't blame you for this! Because the microphone isn't your voice, and I loved your performance! Great job!
Younger Nayuki Minase/Randommirokulover - As everyone else said the static noise in the background was pretty distracting, and it seemed you didn't have much emotions, like you were reading the script. Your voice was really fitting for the character, and very cute, but try and have more emotion.
Younger Yuichi Aizawa/blueeyedblonde842 - I really have no complaints, your boy sounding voice is cute! Raspy as a little boys voice should be. I felt you pulled this off perfectly! <3 Really nice job!
Sayuri Kurata/Younger AyuTsukimiya/ Estellise - WANT CAN'T YOU FAKE CRY!?!! UGHHH!!!!
Tiffany Do/LittleStar - Your singing is cute, TEACH ME. I really enjoyed it great job! ;D
Extras - They are extras and I have to say good job to all who had those parts! I have no complaints because extras always make me smile! <3 What would we do without em'? Awesome job!
Mixing - Hmm, I suppose SFX sounded a bit weird at times, like footsteps that didn't really sound like footsteps. I don't blame you for this after all, finding SFX is difficult trust me I know @_@ And I suppose music was a little over powering at times? I can't really explain it, but overall mixing was good, there's not too much too say. Oh and one more thing is that I noticed the lip-flaps were off a few times, thats it really. Good job to everyone in this project! I know you all worked hard! And good job to you LG! <3

Will watch soon (about to reinstall comp) I wanna reserve a spot~
So far it sounds great!!!!
Edit:
Yuichi Aizawa: alot of your lines seemed like you were reading from a script but they still had emotion, I think you were almost over enunciating the words so that made it a bit mushy. I really like the voice you used though.
Ayu Tsukimiya: (please note super critical critique comes as Ayu was originally played by Yui Horie) Your mic quality is kinda icky which really sucks 'cause I find bad mic quality is even worse for high voiced characters. Your voice seemed kinda fake (maybe I'm just being too critical) but it seemed less and less fake as the lines went on. I also think it could have been softer, which is a special quality Yui Horie has that makes her roles unique (or so I think) once again just a nit-pick though ^^' Emotion was spot on (:
Nayuki Minase: I adore your voice for her, it's very fitting. Your lines seemed really loud in comparison with everyone else's though.
Mai Kawasumi: There was some fuzz in your mic but nothing major~
Akiko Minase: *twitch* fail! I hated this voice!
Sayuri Kurata: No complaints~
Young Ayu Tsukimiya: very nice, it almost sounded like a lower pitch than her "now" voice though. XD
Kaori Misaka: Love the attitude you gave her, it fit her personality well. I think you could have had a bit more energy though.
Jun Kitagawa: LOL this voice was perfect! Oh my gosh, I really have no complaints.
Shiori Misaka: Nice Job~
Girl who speaks to Shiori: No complaints~ (yay one liners)
Taiyaki Shop Owner: Nice job~ No complaints
Waitress: Same here, great job~
Young Yuichi Aizawa: Very convincing... Really really good actually! =D
Young Nayuki Minase: I don't think you were youthful enough, to be honestly you sounded 16 or 17 not 5 or 6. I also think you were lacking some emotion.
Man 1 & 2 + woman: YAY for one liners! No complaints for any of you~
OP Singer: This is a good dub, but something is lacking, it was pitchy in some parts, and it would have been much better with a real karaoke or even a audacity made karaoke. the real vocals were really distracting.
Mixed by: your mixing was great especially for your first mixing job, but I think the BGM was really distracting and should have either been the official OST or off vocal songs or even songs that fit the mood. It kinda seemed like you just wanted to put music in and didn't really think it through. Also alot of your footsteps seemed off.
Who was the person talking at the beginning? They did good, but the echo was distracting and made it hard to understand.

I loved the performance with this character! You really have the emotion and sort of tone I'd imagine. Really great job, not really anything to critique!
|
Thanks much you two. Means a lot to know that others enjoyed my performance. I don't usually have a chance to play roles like this, so it was refreshing and a ton of fun. ^^;
As for my critique, I'm just going to get straight to it, as it may run long (it usually does x_x). Just to say in advance, I don't mean to be harsh to anyone. So please don't take my constructive criticism personally...
Yuuichi / Man #1 (LG65) - You did a good job making Yuuichi sound sarcastic and troubled. Your dialogue was also delivered clearly, though there was a slight accent. I thought your Yuuichi was a bit too gruff. There were times where it was fitting, like the Kaori/Kitagawa scene, but many times he just sounded...unhappy. Just needed a bit more energy is all and variation in your Man #1. I would try working a bit on your final syllable emphasis so it sounds more natural. Without a doubt, you made him mature and distinguishable in your performance, especially around Ayu, which is, in itself, applaudable. =]
Ayu (Katsu) - Very childish and fitting for Ayu. As with the rest of the cast, your voice was quite distinct. Pitchy at times with your mic quality, but still a well cast performance.
Nayuki / Mai (Sayaka) - I really like your voice for her. Airhead and cute. You delivered well & had good energy. There was some background echo in your lines though. Your Mai was right on point with the Japanese seiyuu. The single "Sayuri" line did get kind of got lost in the soft-spokenness though. Not many lines, but your choice of voices were distinct and well chosen for both. =]
Akiko (ichigo_m) - Very motherly and natural. You had the right amount of pep in your voice that made the role quite convincing.
Sayuri / Young Ayu (Estellise) - Though you only had a few lines for both, you made Sayuri sound like she should - carefree and friendly. Nothing bad about it other than a slight mic puff or two. Your Young Ayu voice worked well, but it seemed like you may have had trouble acting out the crying. Your performance as Sayuri seemed more natural of the two. =]
Kaori (uddictiun) - I enjoyed having your mature voice and energy beside mine as Kaori in this scene. Your acting commandeered Kitagawa in a way that gave them humorous chemistry. There were times when your words slurred a bit, but nothing too bad overall. Keep up the good work!
Kitagawa (Ramune) - It's always hard to critique myself after the fact (I do it all the time while recording), but I know that I messed up on lip-flaps for a line. Also, my mic, though not terribly noticeable in this performance, still left much to be desired in quality. I don't normally get to play these kinds of characters, but I thought my tweak in vocals was fitting & that my energy & [over]acting was where it needed to be for this role.
Shiori (BrookeLynn) - Reserved, and somewhat sickly. Shiori to the 'T'. Way to hit that one-liner!
Girl w/ Shiori (Tsuki-Neko) - Friendly and natural. Well done on your one-liner as well. =]
Dream Girl (AmyAnn) - Very mysterious and a good cast choice. I did have a hard time understanding your dialogue, though I don't think that was your fault. The echo effect was very overpowering. If there was one thing that made an impact despite that, it was your emotion. Nice work.
Taiyaki Owner (BrioCyrain) - Definitely sounded like an owner of a shop. Emotions and all. Well done.
Waitress (Taru Cha) - Sweet and courteous. You hit the role spot on! =]
Young Yuuichi (blueyedblonde482) - You make a good young boy! XD If you listen to LG's voice and compare it with yours, they do sound like they'd match up, which is really cool. I think a bit more enunciation would have worked well with the slight whininess you had going on. Good job though!
Young Nayuki (Randommirokulover) - You have good enunciation in your tone, but the voice you chose sounded older than teen Nayuki. I would work on your energy and line delivery so they don't sound as read. Doing some audio editing if you can to get rid of your static would help too so your voice quality will sound even better the next time you get cast. =]
Man #2 (Jefferz) - That was definitely a 20something young man. Distinct and clear from the rest. Nice! =]
Woman (NikkiKora) - Nailed that one-liner as well. Your acting was clear and incredulous like a typical adult. I liked it. =]
OP Singer (LittleStar) - I can't escape you and your adorable voice! XD j/k You sang this very well and sounded confident. LG made a good choice having you on board. A bit more mystery and sweetness in your tone would have made this even better than it already is. =]
Mixing - Mixing this must have been quite an adventure. I liked most of your SFX and music choice. I say "some" because there were moments where there could have been some clothing ruffles or footsteps. Your outside ambiences were very well done though. As for the music, I'm a big fan of hi-energy stuff, but almost every song had lyrics behind it which was a distraction from the dialogue. Most notably in the Dream Girl scene; with the echo effect so strong on top of lyrics, everything just blurred in my ears. Your sound levels were good, but could have been touched up so the cast voices sounded even. Overall, you've done well putting all of this together, especially for such a large project. I'm sure you grew a lot from this. Seriously, you did a bang up job for your first full episode dub. Much congratulations, my friend.
To LG and the Cast - It's not every day I get to be cast with such a diverse crowd of AVAs. Everyone stood out in their own right, which is what makes Key's stories so memorable. I'm thankful to have been a part of this fun project. Thanks LG for putting this all together on your own and making this success possible for all of us. You all did well and all of us gave our best. I hope to work with you guys again some time in the future!
