[TouhouFortressTwo]

Touhou Fortress is a crossover project between Team Fortress 2 and the Touhou Project. The Touhou Fortress project aims to completely replace all of the characters from the PC game Team Fortress 2 with characters from the Touhou Project series. We've got model replacements covered, now we're turning to the task of replacing the game's audio.


Since coming here, there's been numerous updates and such. Biggest one being we have a website. Bookmark it and such.

Audition deadline:


Our audition deadline is essentially up when we fill all the parts. We have some specifics in mind so as things begin to fill up we'll have a better understanding of when a good closing date will be. I can confirm, however, that it won't be done before 2010.



One thing to remain cognizant of is that we're replacing all of the game's voiced lines. Because each update adds new dialog, we will also have to add lines when the time comes. This goes especially for Reimu and Suika, who will most definitely be getting dialog in the near future. Eirin, Yuyuko, and Mokou could also receive additional lines in the future. Regardless of what character you audition for, please be aware of the fact that we may contact you in the future to record additional lines.



Recording information:



1. Record in 44100hz 16-bit Stereo WAV

2. Save lines as "charactername_linenumber_yourname.mp3" (ex: yuyuko_01_moot)

3. Place the five lines in a zipped archive named "charactername_yourname.zip" (.rar and .7z files are also acceptable) If you are auditioning for multiple characters, use a separate zip archive for each.

4. Post auditions to the Wakaba Image Board, located at: http://www.sentrygun.com/touhou/tf2/wakaba/wakaba.html as a new thread. If you are going to audition for multiple characters, create a separate thread for each one. You can use a name and tripcode on the board for identification purposes, although if you put your name in the filename this shouldn't be an issue. Be sure to also include some death/pain yells or screams into the audition, along with the pre-determined lines. Also linked in there is our Steam Group. Feel free to sign up for that (it's free) if you'd like to maintain better contact with us.



Characters:



The entire cast is female. Male voices are welcome as long as they can pull off a believable act.


Since some confusion has been made clear, the characters are listed in order of the in-game class listings. In other words,

Aya - Scout
Reimu - Soldier
Mokou - Pyro
Suika - Demoman
Yuyuko - Heavy
Eirin - Medic
Patchouli - Sniper
Sakuya - Spy

Utsuho - Soldier
Yuka - Soldier
Koishi - Spy
Nue - Spy

The engineer spot belongs to Nitori, but we've already cast that voice spot.

Aya



Age: 1000+

Bio: Aya is the only reporter in Gensokyo, known for having questionable journalistic integrity. She has an unfortunate tendency to inadvertently win battles when trying to gather a scoop, an outcome that often leaves her flustered. She's full of energy and a bit of a ditz. She often elicits annoyed reactions from other characters but she's mostly oblivious to these.

Voice: Her voice doesn't necessarily need to be high pitched, but she
does need to talk something like a 50's journalist; fast (not so much literally) talking, easy to jump to conclusions,
and keen to pick up on anything you DON'T want her to know. Think a tabloid reporter on a small amount of coke.
She has an air about her of superority, this however stems more from traditional tengu isolationism than her own views, though she
still views everything she writes as "the truth" even though most would find it far from such. Mostly if not entirely olivious to
how much she tends to get on others nerves. Slightly lower than average pitch, moderate tone.

Audition line 1: "Uh oh, NOW who am I going to interview?" - Taunt after killing someone; a sarcastic sort of self-question

Audition line 2: "Don't worry, I've got an extra-large obituary section ready!" - Taunt after killing someone; over confident and cocky

Audition line 3: "Hey, don't just keel over, I've a few more questions for you!" - Taunt after killing someone; over confident and cocky

Audition line 4: "Don't try to mess up with the fastest in Gensokyo." - Taunt after killing someone; over confident and cocky

Audition line 5: "Extra, extra, Tengu take the lead!" - Victory; confident and cocky after a win





Name: Reimu

Age: Unknown

Bio: She's a dutiful shrine maiden, and although she is easygoing by nature she tends to become quite exasperated with the juvenile behavior of some of Gensokyo's denizens. This exasperation sometimes leads to wild outbursts of anger. When she gets angry, watch out; something cataclysmic is bound to follow.

Voice: Calm and semi-outgoing when pleased, vile and with a strong sense of loathing when angry.
While she may be lazy she knows when its time to get down to business.
Mid-to-high tone range

Audition line 1: "If you're not trying to make a donation, then stay out of my sight!" - Angered; a snarky taunt

Audition line 2: "I do NOT have to waste a continue on you, so shut the hell up!" - A revenge kill; you just killed someone who's been dominating you, and you feel cocky

Audition line 3: "The shrine maiden's not supposed to lose!" - Round loss; you just lost and are severely disappointed and angry at your team

Audition line 4: "That's one bullet you should have tried to graze." - Domination line; you just killed someone repeatedly and are taunting them

Audition line 5: "These Donations are mine! Do you understand that?" - Capture point blocked; you killed an enemy as they were achieving their goal, taunting them





Name: Yuyuko


Age: Dead/Immortal (Existed for at least 1000 years)

Bio: Yuyuko is a ghost and the last descendant of the Saigyouji clan, and as such is the residing mistress of Hakugyokurou. She is an easy going person both friendly and cheerful, though she often makes bizarre and nonsensical remarks and sometimes seems to overlook the obvious, leading to her characterization as an airhead or ditz. However she tends to be two steps ahead of everyone else. She seems to never take anything too seriously, and loves to taunt her foes and tease her friends. She's also known to love food and frequently talks about it as well, even going as far as suggesting eating several enemies whom shes beaten.

Voice: Something upbeat but moderately placed. Tone doesn't matter so
much. Refer to YouTube - 3D 幽々å*�ã�¨å¦–夢 (She is the girl with pink hair) for guidance. Emulate this as best you can, or try something similar.

Audition line 1: "Ah, the sakura blossoms are falling again... no wait, that's blood." - Taunt after killing someone; you're preoccupied with what you think is beautiful...until you snap back to reality

Audition line 2: "I have squashed you like Wriggle." - Taunt after killing someone; forceful and confident

Audition line 3: "Did you think you could kill someone who is already dead?" - Taunt after killing someone; confident, questioning their intelligence and mocking them

Audition line 4: "Youmu... I'm hungry~" - Loss line; sort of whiny, calling for your servent

Audition line 5: "I am full of Mystia, and I am coming for you!" - General taunt line; boastful and confident, trying to scare your opponents





Name: Sakuya


Age: Estimated to be between 16 to 20 years old

Bio: Sakuya is the Chief Maid at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She works for her mistress, Remilia Scarlet, and is apparently the only human working at or living within the mansion. She has the power to stop time. She is known to then place knives in midair and resume time to allow these knives to fly towards her targets. Stopping time is also a handy way of doing large amounts of maid work in a short time. Because nearly everyone living or working at the mansion are maids, being the chief of them all means there are few people there with more authority within the mansion than Sakuya.

Voice: Calm, cool headed, though relaxed to an almost casual point.
A mid-toned voice; with a slightly high pitch. Should be a moderately soft voice, something
alsong the lines of Eirin's but with a bit more attachment to the situation.

Audition line 1: "Die and Resurrect, I'll just kill you again!" - Taunt after killing an enemy; cocky and self-confident

Audition line 2: "You should have stayed back in the library where you belong" - Taunt after killing an enemy; cocky and self-confident

Audition line 3: "The 'Drunk Gensokyan Oni' - Now extinct!" - Taunt after killing an enemy; cocky and self-confident, mocking your enemy

Audition line 4: "You are an embarrassment to maids everywhere!" - Taunt after killing an enemy; cocky and self-confident, mocking your enemy

Audition line 5: "They can bury you in the 'Tomb of the Unskilled miko!" - Taunt after killing an enemy; cocky and self-confident, mocking your enemy






Name: Yuka Kazami



Age: Unknown, but more than 60 years old

Bio: A powerful and dangerous Youkai with the ability to manipulate flowers. One of Reimu's oldest enemies, she's often seen as a sadist due to some of her remarks, although the way she acts it's often difficult to tell what she's really thinking.

Voice: Cheery, extremely confident in her power. She has little issue with attacking anyone she thinks is problem due to supreme confidince.
Voice should be calm and relaxed maybe even smooth.
Should definetly try and convey the "I'm the strongest" mentality she carries with her.
She even goes as far as making jokes amongst battles.
Lower tone and medium at the highest pitch.

Audition Line 1 : "Genocide is just another game. It doesn't matter if it's humans or Makai residents." - 2 enemies or more killed in under 20 seconds
Audition Line 2 : "Just spill your blood here. My flowers will appreciate it." - Domination against an enemy
Audition Line 3 : "Another sunny day." - Battlecry or cheers
Audition Line 4 : "I guess my flowers won't have enough blood today..." - losing the round; disappointed about having insufficient 'water' for her flowers.
Audition Line 5 : "Just stand here, I won't bite you." - Giving out defense commands




Name: Koishi Komeiji



Age: Unknown

Bio: Younger sister of Satori Komeiji, Koishi saw how her sister's mind-reading abilities rendered her the target of hate. Fearing hers would do the same, Koishi sealed off her Third Eye. In doing this, she lost her mind-reading abilities and instead gained the more powerful ability to read and manipulate people's subconscious. In sealing off her Third Eye though, she also sealed off her heart which made her more carefree and so her power gain didn't bother her. Carefree and unable to love, she wandered around the world on her own whims.

Voice: Mid-toned, but a higher pitch, very relaxed. No regrets, no remorse, just having fun
doing whatever she wants to do.

Audition Line 1 : "Heartwarming, even for me..." - Cheers, positive reenforcement
Audition Line 2 : "Like the thorn of a rose...stings, doesn't it?" - Backstab
Audition Line 3 : "See, I can do it without my third eye." - Revenge kill via backstab
Audition Line 4 : "To think you had been looking at me the whole time without knowing it." - Backstab
Audition Line 5 : "This pain...how does it feel?" - After killing 5 enemies in less than 20 seconds




One thing that should probably be noted: Feedback will be given out on the board. There's a good possibility that at least one person will comment on any given submission even if a critique is not solicited.





Also: At a later date, we MAY open up submissions for other roles as well (possibly the announcer). Keep checking to see if we add anyone new.

I'm glad to see that this finally got put up! Like I said before, I probably won't audition(unless double casting is fine with you), but if I end up auditioning, I might try Yuyuko. Or possibly an alternate character if you decide to make them. As for the rest of you reading this post... You must audition for the awesome that is Touhou!

I'll just say that I love the heck out of TF2 (enough to always seem to pray for female roles to show up) and I like Touhou more for the music than its characters (I await the bricks to come flying through my windows), so if I have time, I might give this a go someday~
