The death of Cedric Diggory has caught the attention of Reikai, the Spirit World. The Spirit Detectives are on the case, sent to Hogwarts to protect students from the fallout of the wizarding war—without revealing that half of the team is made up of demons and ex-ghosts. Meanwhile, Harry attempts to solve the mystery of his latest visions: Voldemort has been slaying unicorns, but not to drink their blood. With his core magic blocked indefinitely, Harry will have to rely on surface magic to put a stop to Voldemort's plans. But will that be enough? Based on the popular fan fiction "The Best Defense" by JoIsBishMyoga. Warning: May contain ho-yay! and semi-shonen ai references.

Project Information "The Best Defense" is our first-ever animated fan fiction. The script is based on JoIsBishMyoga's Yu Yu Hakusho/Harry Potter crossover of the same title, which had over 2000 reviews on FanFiction.net before its deletion. For this project we will be recording the voices before animation.

Audition Deadline Open until all roles are filled

Scripts The Best Defense's screenplay has been split into four pieces, Parts A-D. As soon as you are cast, you will receive the first part your character appears in and a deadline (2-4 weeks depending on the number of lines you have). When you have finished the first part and we have made sure you don't need to redo anything, you will receive your lines from the next piece of the screenplay and a new deadline.

All types needed—male and female, young and old. Information on the characters (including name, age, voice type, description of the role, and pictures that inspired the character design) can be found in the character reels on YouTube. We want you to focus on emoting and core character attributes. British accents are not required for this production.

Audition lines can be downloaded at the link below. You do NOT need to do all of the lines from all of the scenes in the file; just pick a few lines you like. You may do as many lines from the file as you feel necessary to advertise your talent (yes, more is generally better). Also please note we have decided not to include the Japanese, so just use the English-language scenes for your audition.

Not to hijack but after you pick a character go to one of those links in the initial post. From there you find your character and download the file. The file will have some information as well as an excerpt from the script.

UPDATE: The lines for Koenma, Remus Lupin and Lucius Malfoy have been uploaded. Koenma's level 2 and Lupin and Lucius are level 4.
