[Original] [B-Squared] Battle of 1999 (Cast finalized)

Greetings, all. I have mulling it over in my head for the past few months now whether or not I should do a radio version of a little pet project that have been working on/procrastinating/revising/procrastinating again/getting frustrated over/posting on another forum since high school. An action/adventure love letter to anime, manga, music, and movies that I call Battle of 1999. It's also the inspiration for my screen name.

Seeing as how it's a new year and all, I have decided to test the waters and turn my ideas into an audio drama under the B-Squared label. The plot goes a little something like this...

In an alternate version of New York City in the year 1999, a demonic alien group known as the D-Angel clan has been released from its prison and has its sights set on conquering Earth. Only one thing stands before them; young weapons designer/anime fan Will Knavison and a team of not-yet-ready for Sentai players (That’s not what they really called but I needed to find a colorful name for "quirky idiot characters"). Both duke it out for the fate of the Earth, all the while, a more sinister plot is being hatched behind the scenes.

Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, sometimes anachronistic, sometimes fourth-wall breaking, Battle of 1999 shows that just because the world is about to end, doesn't mean it shouldn't be any fun

Just so everybody knows, this will be a pretty big project, split up into different arcs so do not audition if you don't have the time

A good friend of Will, he is a practitioner of several different styles of martial arts. Unfortunately, he is also massive lech, hitting on anything as long as it’s cute and female. In other words, the lecherous character archetype. Despite this, he is more than willing to help out his friends when need be.
Voice type: Medium-athletic type. I am also looking for someone who can do a comedic style of voice whenever the character does something perverted. Have fun with this and see what you can come with

Sachiko Sugachi (Sa-chee-ko Soo-ga-chee)
Female
Age: 17
Japanese schoolgirl/high-grade assassin for Interpol, specializing in armed and unarmed combat. Straight-edged and deadly serious... until she sees anything cute. When that happens, she starts speaking in a very cute, high pitched voice and will beginning hugging and cloying over said cute thing. She is also Rogers arranged fiancée... whether he likes it or not
Voice Type: For this voice, I am looking for something very specific. I am looking for anyone who can go from deadly serious to sugary cute in a minute

Age: 120 (or at least that’s the rumor)
The foul-mouthed and bad tempered landlady of Will’s apartment. A collector of military arms and an all around battle maniac, Gretchen has no qualms with turning a gun on a demonic alien… or anyone that can’t pay their rent on time.
Voice-type: Low and raspy, like the kind of old lady that sounds like she smokes 3 packs a day. Males can also try out for this role if they can pull off the voice. You can try out a Bronx accent as well

Gally-Alita Castle

Captain of the New York SWAT team and the granddaughter of Gretchen Castle, she is just as much of a battle maniac as her grandma. As well as being just as foul-mouthed and hot-tempered as “the old bag”, she also has a brash and cocky side to her as well. But there is one thing she does not want anyone to know: She has a well-hidden obsession with telenovelas (Spanish soap operas)
Voice-type: Medium-low, try for a slight Bronx accent if you wish. They will be some instances where she’ll have to do some drill sergeant like shouting. There will also be lot of cursing

Once, she was princess of a far-away planet. After being captured and forced into slavery for the D-Angel clan, she is rescued by Will and now fights along side him. While she can wield chi-based attacks, there is another, greater power lurking deep inside this young woman…

The chief of police in NYPD. Though on the outside, he looks to be incredible handsome (to be the point of looking effeminate), once he opens his mouth, it’s another story. Tough talking, gung-ho, and almost always smoking a cigar, Ty is always up for a fight

Rasha Jasper (part-human/part tabby cat) (Rah-sha Jasper)

Age: 28
Lieutenant in the NYPD, Rasha has dedicated her life to protecting the innocent. Not only is she an excellent shot and good with her fists, but she also has the ability to sprout long-steel claws from her fingernails ala Lady Deathstrike from X-Men. Outside of work, she is a fun-loving girl with a love for Playstation games

O-sama (It comes from the Japanese word for “lord”, not the infamous terrorist)

Age: 1 million
Second in command to the D-Angel clan, O-sama is as ruthless as they come, donning shogun-esque armor, wrapped in chains. Cold and calculating but will instantly become angry if a plan doesn’t go his way.
Voice-type: Deep and smooth, something akin to actor, Ron Pearlman (Hellboy movies, Slade in Teen Titans)

Raizu Tochia (Rye-zoo To-chee-uh)
Male
Age: Unknown (This character has two separate voices that be casted)
One of O-sama’s main henchmen, Raizu has two completely different forms. His first is that of a cocky yet cowardly spiky-haired punk kid in samurai clothing. His second form, which comes out whenever he is sprayed with any smoke-based element, is a ruthless, hulking man-wolf samurai with an extremely cocky attitude. Loves to kill
Voice-type: First form- Cocky when enemy is at a distance, cowardly and panic-y whenever said enemy is up close and personal. Females can also try it for this role as well
Second form- Deep, gravelly, wolf-like, and, like I said before, extremely cocky

Ozu Tochia

Age: unknown
The half-brother of Raizu. Ozu specializes in black magic and is as every bit as sick and twisted. He has two forms, just like Raizu. His first form is that of a wingless pterodactyl in a black cloth. His second form is entirely different; a tall, sexy human woman with pale blue skin and an affinity for wearing leather. Unlike his half-brother, he is powerful in both forms and seems to get sexual gratification out of fighting anyone who may be stronger than him/her

Tokimatsu Egashu (To-key-mott-su E-gah-shoe)

Age: 18,000 (19 in human years)
Though he has the appearance of Marvin the Martian in a trench coat (or a cuter version of the black Isz from the comic book, The Maxx), Tokimatsu is second to Raizu in pure deadliness. In his smaller form, he is quite versatile with an uzi, his signature weapon. Whenever he takes his trench coat off, he stands about the height of a normal human and is dressed in red shogun armor. He is actually one of the more emotional characters, constantly struggling with his inner-self due to constantly being controlled by O-sama
Voice-Type: I don’t really have a particular type of voice in mind. Play around and see what you come up with

An intergalactic mercenary/bounty hunter who is hired by O-sama to take Will and his crew. As his name would imply, he is, in fact, a human-sized rat. Despite his appearance and mannerisms, he is in fact very intelligent and resourceful. He takes on the mission because it seems “interesting”
Voice-type: Deep and gravelly. The type of voice that sounds like it had a lot of experience in this particular profession
