INTRODUCTION
The year is 2012. By now the Krippin virus, originally designed as a miracle drug to cure cancer, has wiped out 90% of all human beings around the globe. Those who do not perish when exposed to the virus fall into two groups: the minority who retain their humanity, and the overwhelming majority who devolve into mindless, barbaric cannibals. Deep amidst the ruins of New York City, Dr. Robert Neville desperately searches for a cure for this deadly virus in a mad attempt to save humanity from extinction. His story, however, is only one of many.

Our story follows a group of seven men and women who, bound together by chance (or fate), are now forced to fend for their lives in the deep South. Each of them has their own motives for living, and for carrying on in the face of danger. Can they work together? Can they find their way in the darkness? Can they survive against countless attacks from their enemies? Or will they fall prey to each other?

Rick Masters
Type: MAJOR
Age: 26
Bio: A former accounting major, Rick is a reasonably built college graduate. He has just married Lindsay Masters. Rick is a skilled speaker and negotiator, and often provides a soft word of wisdom where needed. However, when faced with danger, he is a complete and total coward.
Voice type: Medium-high to Medium-low. Smooth.

Capt. Alvin Johnson
Type: MINOR
Age: 50
Bio: The Captain of the Red Cross Support Ship, Crimson Banner. A calm, collected leader whose sole objective is to preserve the lives of the civilians living on board his ship. He is also official caretaker of Eric Sims, as per order of the United States Marine Corps.
Voice Type: Medium-low. Gruff, commanding- the more bark, the better.

Ensign Jeremy Holmes
Type: MINOR
Age: 24
Bio: A sailor conscripted into service to facilitate the Red Cross' evacuation of major US cities. Currently serving on board the RCSS Crimson Banner. A friend of the civilians on board, Holmes often breaks military discipline to make life more comfortable.
Voice Type: Medium.

Thomas Gale
Type: MAJOR
Age: 23
Bio: Thomas is a civilian housed on board the Crimson Banner. He was separated from his family during the evacuation of Charleston, SC. All he wants is to see his family again.

Eric Sims
Type: MAJOR
Age: 12
Bio: Eric is a little boy currently under the care of Capt. Johnson. He lost both his parents to the airborne strain of the Krippin virus, and how he survived is not yet clear.

Gregory Hopkins
Type: MAJOR
Age: 33
Bio: Another civilian on board the Crimson Banner, Gregory's past is not common knowledge. What is known is that he is a man of fine taste with a smooth tongue, and a soft spot for kids. His motives are his own business and no one else's.

FEMALES:

Linsday Masters
Type: MAJOR
Age: 24
Bio: The newlywed wife of Rick Masters. Linsday is an outgoing soul who loves sports more than life itself. Being cooped up on the Crimson Banner is slowly driving her nuts, what with the level of discipline required on a daily basis. She thrives in the face of stress and danger, unlike her husband.
Voice Type: Medium to Medium-high. Smooth. A Southern accent is appreciated but not necessary.

Michelle Rogers
Type: MINOR, RECURRING ROLE
Age: 27
Bio: A US Marine comm specialist. She was personally involved in the evacuation and scouring of Jacksonville, FL, and was with the team who located Eric Sims.
Voice Type: Medium. Gruff, commanding. Tough as nails!

Jennifer Rhodes
Type: MAJOR
Age: 24
Bio: Jennifer is the local artist on board the Crimson Banner. Her personality is the only thing more vibrant than her pastels.

Rhonda Adams
Type: MAJOR
Age: 27
Bio: Rhonda and her family currently reside on the Crimson Banner. Rhonda thoroughly believes that she and her loved ones are perfectly safe from the menace of the Krippin virus.
