Age: Mid-teens
Bio: A pessimistic character, rarely does she speak of the positive things in life and often relies on sarcasm to get her message across. But who can blame her? You'd be grouchy too if you knew your body couldn't last a day outside. Although she can be a nuisance, she is rather level-headed, confident, and does have some respect for others (even though she has a weird way of showing it).

Name: Kate Williams
Age: Early 20's
Bio: Since their parents' death several years ago, Kate has taken it upon herself to watch over Emily, balancing her roles as an older sister and a motherly figure. She knows how to deal with Emily's attitude, sometimes throwing back a sassy comment or two. Usually independent, she'll only ask for help when she feels she really needs it. Overall, she is a caring, friendly, and mature young woman.

Age: Late 20's
Bio: Kate's co-worker and good friend. Jade is your typical girl next door; warm and laid back, she's the one Kate goes to if she ever needs advice or a buddy to hang out with. Always one to make a person smile, she makes friends very easily.

Name: Grace Holland
Age: 20s-30s
Bio: Emily's online friend who goes by the screen name, "Shadow's Grace". She too shares some of Emily's negative views on life, but recently, she has been growing out of this depressive mood that she is now seeing and accepting what good things life has to offer. She tries to help Emily "see the light" by sending her a gift she hopes she'll like.

Age: Mid 20s
Bio: A noisy and energetic character, Jenny is a thrill-seeker of sorts. Overly confident in her skills, she has a habit of rushing into things without thinking first.

Name: Dr. Richard Collins
Age: Early 40s
Bio: Richard is Emily and Kate's doctor and only other living relative. He takes pride in his work and usually talks with a business-like tone. Because he is always busy with other patients and his research to find a cure for Emily, the only times he sees his nieces is through what little free time he has, by appointment at his office, or by timely home visits (a reason why they refer to him as "Doc" instead of "Uncle"). Outside of work, he tries his best to be a father figure, or at least come off as a "cool uncle".

Age: Late 20s, Early 30s
Bio: A very animated character, Dave is Kate's co-worker and much more talkative friend. He isn't afraid to say whatever is on his mind, which can be both a good and a bad thing. His personality can change depending on the situation; if all is normal, he will be as flamboyant as he can be. If it's serious, he'll talk with a calmer and much more mature tone.

Age: Mid 30s
Bio: An instructor at a local school, Ryan is a pro at what he does and is a natural when it comes to teaching his students. A good-hearted person and a great motivator, he serves as Grace's teacher.

Name: "Slick" Mick Malone
Age: Mid 20s
Bio: While Jenny works out in the field, Mick works as her partner and manager. His job is to make sure she succeeds in what she does by creating different strategies for her to follow (though she often ignores them). He has a "P.E. coach" tone to his voice; he can bark out plans just as easily as he can yell at Jenny for being completely insane.
