That was great ^_^ The fight scenes were much clearer in this one, I was never left wondering if there was something I was missing. The narration bits were very helpful too and I liked how they were used.

It was hard to hear Mochan's lines sometimes so I had to crank the volume up but otherwise, the voices and volume was good.

I had to double check the cast list to be sure who was playing High Minister Clifford because it sounded to me like it was you, Bomberman XD

I already told you about the technical issues over AIM, so I won't repeat them here. So I'll just give a character run down:

Yulie: Niko Ford: I really like you as Yulie, you give a very nice and subtle nature to her.
Jude: Solstice: I must be honest, it was a little difficult to listen to you sometimes. It was very disjointed and up and down and just not very natural. If you just take the time to read the line a few times, realize what's going on in the scene, take a deep breath and then just let it flow like you yourself were in that situation, making it very natural, you could really make Jude jump out of this radioplay. =D
Arnaud: Will Knavison: There were a couple times when you spoke a little fast, but other than that, I really liked your delivery.
Lily: Mippa: Short, but good.
Soldier #1: SandsO: Very soldier-ish, I liked it!
Soldier #2: Kylor: Same as above. XD
Raquel: Mochan: Yeah I was WAY too quiet...and I felt a little stiff sometimes.
Narrator: Bomberman61: I might suggest trying to adapt a narrator type voice, very deep and sort of 'proper' if that makes sense. As the narrator it sounded like you and I were about to sit down and have a beer or something. XD If that makes sense. XD
Tony: R. Douglas Barbieri: That was you? Very awesome! I liked it.
High Minister Clifford: Pull: I knew this was you even before I looked at the cast list. I absolutely LOVE your creepy voices! =D
Lambda: Wiseman: I don't believe I've heard you anywhere else before, but I think you pulled this off well. It was kind of dry, but I think that's how the character was supposed to sound. XD
Arlington: ToPaz: You have a bit of a lisp, but it's not too bad. You sound like you were forcing out the evil-ness.
Buckingham: Talesoflife: Your lines were very low and it was difficult to hear you, but it seems like you, as the same above, sounded like you were forcing out the evil-ness.
Lauderdale: CCPetersen: Didn't really see any problems, very short, but nicely delivered.

Very nice job everyone! Sooo many characters in this radioplay. XD

Re: Wild ARMs 4: Episode Two - 06-11-2008, 05:41 PM

Thanks for the critiques! As far as the mixing, I've learned that two of my bigger issues are ambience and leveling. I'm getting better at it, though, as only one set of lines were significantly lower than the others (Raquel's). Those are going in the handy-dandy notebook so I can get better at it.

As far as the narration, which was my portion of it, I struggled with trying to find a narrator type voice, especially since it was a last minute addition. In the end, I panicked and went normal instead of narrator because everything else was basically done.

You live and you learn.

I agree with Niko, this one was much clearer and more focused than the first one and I enjoyed it a lot more. The narration was just the right amount to keep the scenes clear and the characters started to develop in a more interesting manner.

The only issue I saw was the fight scenes tended to be a bit of a blur. They just kind of happened in a flash and we moved on with the story, but I guess if they're not the focus that's fine too.

Keep producing!
Rob

Re: Wild ARMs 4: Episode Two - 06-12-2008, 10:32 PM

The plot is getting more interesting. ^_^ Some of the the voices pop out more than the others sometimes. But you already stated the issues yourself, so I'll refrain from repeating them.

Yulie: Niko Ford ~
I really love your Yulie. There's a certain gentleness in your voice and your delivery and emotions are wonderful. I can't wait to learn more about your character.

Jude: Solstice ~
I have to agree with Mochan. While I do love your voice, your delivery of the lines sound unnatural. A majority of your lines are said in a very sing-songy manner and it sounds like you are trying to force emotions while you read your lines. Try imagining yourself in the situation and try any body motions to help enhance naturalness in your acting/emotions. Other than that, you did well.

Arnaud: Will Knavison ~
I really like your character. Your emotions and delivery are great. From your performance, I get the feeling that Arnaud's a pretty easy-going guy.

Lily: Mippa ~
Very nice. But your lines come out sounding very distorted. Great emotion as always.

Soldier #1: SandsO ~
Great work. You do sound like a soldier and so "jerky" it's perfect for the scene

Soldier #2: Kylor ~
Like SandsO, great job at sounding like a soldier. ^^

Raquel: Mochan ~
Oooh! Very nice. You definitely come off as an tough girl. I like your delivery but I think the slight stiffness actually adds layers and more personality to the character.

Narrator: Bomberman61~
I was expecting a very narrative tone to your voice, but you did a good job nonetheless.

Tony: R. Douglas Barbieri ~
Very nice! Your emotions are great!

High Minister Clifford: Pull ~

Oh! Wonderful sinister voice! I love your performance. ^^

Lambda: Wiseman ~
I liked your performance.

Arlington: ToPaz ~

I am not sure whether you have a bit of a lisp or if you are purposely speaking in that manner. You did well, but like Mochan alkready mentioned, you sound as if you are trying to sound evil.

Buckingham: Talesoflife ~
I like your voice, but yes, the evil-ness does seem a little forced. Other than that, I do like your performance. Good job!

Lauderdale: CCPetersen ~
Very nice work! I hope to hear more from you in future episodes!
