OK! Where do I even begin... First of all, the cast... You guys are AWESOME. The quality of the performance given by everyone is spectaculare and is hard to come by even in professionally done dubs, and that's the truth. We all should be proud of ourselves.

This project pushed me to my limits in sound mixing and it has allowed me to grow even more as a producer.

The fact that I went into this without a OST to work with is insane. But I diregarded this for the first time in my history of mixing and redid 95% of the soundtrack. The results I think are amazing and works with the video so much better. One driving factor behind doing this was because the OST of S.ifr was not written by Kajiura Yuki. So I used her music from all past Mai series for this project.

I spent roughly 48hrs mixing just the music. After that, I had to go back and put every single SFX I wasn't able to salvage from the original. From the simplest sfx of a tea cup, to even room ambience. It's ALL in there. Granted, there are several spots that aren't perfect and I wish I was able to correct them.

But I think everyone will be very happy with how this project sounds... it really is a step much higher up then the Otome Zwei project I worked on previously.

I also took the time to create a sort of Opening video with all the credits. XD I wasn't sure at first on how I should put together such a thing, but I think it turned out REALLY nice. Maybe it was just luck?

I'm going to take a second to invite the entire cast to return for episodes 2 and 3 of S.ifr of course, as I plan to FanDub them as well. Dubbing a 3 part series... that'll be epic. It's my hope you will all lend your voices for them too.

I appreciate everyone's hard work on this project and I hope to continue to work with you all in the future. I'll be very surprised if I don't see many of you going Pro sometime SOON in the future too with such performances in this project.

Thank you to the VAA as well for providing us all with a community to create and share such projects.

I can imagine how difficult it is to not being able to have the OST for this OVA in hand so I give you props on that. Of course, it just doesn't seem to be a Mai-Otome series without Yuki Kajiura's music!

I have one line, but it didn;t reduce the oddity I felt seeing my voice syncing with animation for the first time. Awesome stuff.

The acting throughout the episode was spot on and well done - I really like Rash's performance.

Great! It's out and ready for review. *is giddy with excitement* From what I have seen thus far, the mixing is perfectly done as expected from someone of your talents, Fetkun. And the cast is perfect. After I give this a more thorough listen, there will be a more detailed and thought out critiques for the cast and producer. I love it so far!!

AllyKat - Sifr/Little Girl/Nina the Cat
I do NOT know how to scream properly and Sifr is the screamiest role I've been cast to date. Aside from all the screaming, she was fun to play. I don't think I've ever spent as much time recording lines for one character as I did for her though. Because of all the takes I did on each and every single one of her lines, it took me over 10 hours and still I'm finding some of my lines a little weak... Extras were easier on me though, I LOVED doing those cat noises for Nina XD That, and I get a kick out of whenever I'm talking to myself in a fandub.

Mippa - Lena/Sifr's Mother/M-9
Oh how I envy the maturity your voice carries lol. Your voice was a lovely fit for Lena and you presented her just the way I had imagined her to be in english, soft and gentle, but strict and confident when necessary. Loved you as M-9 as well, you differentiated between these two very well. Lol good thing too since you're virtually fighting yourself. I think the only bad thing I have to say is the sound quality of your lines might have made you sound a little stuffy. Samll detail though, you make it up with your talent. Oh yeah, and love your bloopers, your "Kamehameha" blooper is greater than my "Morphin' time" blooper I did a while back XD

Rashinban - Bruce
I knew you'd make a great Bruce! I really like the tone you gave him, somewhat playful and carefree in a teasing manner. It made him all the more likeable to me. I also absolutely love the pitch of voice you used. It was very smooth and natural, and I'm such a fan of your voice so its automatically a plus in my book. I may fangirl over it one day lol.

Mirielle - Elliot
lol it was so amusing hearing you in this role, especially during that yuri scene with you being so forward and all XD I associate your voice with that of a regal tone, so it was great listening to you get a little silly in this. I was a little taken aback when I first heard you in this since I recall Elliot having a higher voice in the original, but I really like your take on her. Lovely job!

Magic Kaito - Shion/Little Girl's Mother
lol Yet again, you became one of my favorite VAs. I can't get over how well suited your voice is for Shion. Its got that mature yet fun tone to it. I really enjoyed how you delivered the frustrated and flustered lines, those had me giggling. Also, I can't help but think you sound a little bit like Erica when I heard you as the little girl's mother. lol Either that or I'm just confusing myself, the both of you remind me of Brianne Siddall to some extent.

Haushinka - Raquel
My goodness, you were too adorable in this role! So playful, sly, and full of energy. Absolutely perfect voice for her, it was just so very cute. lol it's one of the reasons why I keep playing back the conversation behind the couch as well as the dinner scene right before the action. This is the voice I need to be hearing in official dubs, a lot of VAs who attempt the higher pitched, cutesy voice tend to grate on my nerves, but you do it in a manner that doesn't aggravate me XD

FET-Kun - Kiddo/Cyborg 1/Man 4
lol You make a good villain Fet! I really liked your reaction sounds, they were so funny XD A shame you didn't get a whole lot to say though. lol nice cyborg voice too, there wasn't too big of a difference between that voice and the one you used for Kiddo, but it was a decent enough differentiation to let me know that they were seperate characters I was listening to.

Tylec - John Smith/Brankin
lol Your Brankin voice amused me. He sounded like a brute that was dignified, but still had a foul mouth XD That had me laughing. And wonderful job playing John Smith, its always hard finding a VA that can play an older character and still have a natural sounding voice. Not many can do so successfully, but you definitely did.

Stephee - Una
I'm envious of you too! lol Am I the only one who can't sound mature?! You fit Una very well, love your maturity and the seriousness you applied to your voice. Every word you spoke sounded as if it was of vast importance and that kept me listening to you intently. Very nice job!

Devkyu - Little Girl On Train
Sadly you only had one line so there's not much for me to critique on, but I can tell ya this much, you have a very cute voice!

Phantasm, LionFayt, and Kumada42 - Male Extras
I'm having a hard time keeping the extras straight, so unfortunately I'm lumping the three of you together. Sorry about that ^^; You all did wonderfully with your lines, thank you all for filling in for some quick spots!

Keegan Kopcik - Slave Master
Ooh loved the creepy tone you put into your line, hope to hear more from you in future dubs, you have an interesting voice!

Mixing: lol I think you're already aware of how good you are at mixing, Fet. Some of the background music seemed a little odd to me because of how they'd end abruptly and go into a different track rather roughly, but the music you chose to replace the original soundtrack was fitting throughout. I look forward to the next episode!

I've never watched Mai-Otome before, but this makes me want to watch it =)
The cast was AMAZING and the mixing was great! Everything sounded pretty professional.

I meant to do this earlier, but life kept distracting me. It's not much of a critique, but repeating "I loved it!" over and over again would have felt like a waste and I wanted to say something about everyone, so...

AllyKat- As usual, excellent job. You're always good at playing teen characters (or... how old is Sifr? XD) and young girls and making them so energetic. I really wish I was better at those sorts of voices sometimes. I also loved getting to hear you do a lot more of an emotional range than you got to use in the Zwei dub. You said you're not used to the shouting, but you're very good at it.

Mippa- I really enjoyed getting to hear you do a lower voice, especially on such a major part. You had a very nice motherly sound for Lena, but she didn't sound old, either. It was just great, but I've come to expect that ^^. I also liked your other parts, especially the higher colder contrast for M-9. I couldn't help watching that and start giggling and think "Mippa's fighting herself!" XD

Rashinban- You did a great job, but that doesn't come as a surprise to me. You just... captured the character so well. I'm having trouble thinking up the right phrasing XD. And, I'm not sure why, but when I first saw Bruce in the Japanese version he kinda creeped me out, but it was much less so for me watching this. Again, I don't rightly know why.

Mirielle- Yay. Just yay. You were excellent with this part. I really liked the voice you used, too, because I thought it suited her quite well. And... I'm running out of things to say again. But I loved it! ^^

Magic Kaito- Eh, no comments XD. Although, I kinda wish I had known you were going to use me for the mother ^^;. I might have tried to do the lines again in a voice that was a bit more different from Shion's. I suppose if no one else has any complaints, though, I won't worry about it. Yay OCD -_-

Haushinka- I agree with AllyKat in that I'm very impressed that you can do a high voice like that and not make it sound annoying in the least. Awesome work, but, much like everyone else I critiqued, it doesn't really surprise me XD.

FET-kun- I really loved the way you played Kiddo. He was just the perfect villain assistant that acts tough but is actually a total coward and can't do much of anything. That whole "We'll let you go this time!" line (or whatever the exact phrasing was ^^; ) was great XD

Tylec- Very nice work. I probably wouldn't have known it was you in those two parts if I didn't know it beforehand. I especially liked how John Smith turned out. You made him sound cold without him being over-the-top evil, which I thought was great.

Stephee- I love your voice! I wish I could sound that mature sometimes XD. I'm hoping you get more lines in the episodes that are left, because so far it all sounds great.

Phantasm, Devkyu, LionFayt, Kumada42, and Keegan Kopcik- Apologies for putting these as one, but seeing as we didn't get to hear a lot from any of you and I have the same thing to say for each one I figured it'd be easiest. That being that you all sounded great. And I really wish you had more lines XD

And, just an overall note, I noticed there were two different pronunciations of "Sifr" going on. Which, again, my OCD is talking, but I don't know if we can get a standard one for the next episode or something. Yay nitpicks.

Oh, and I loved everyone's bloopers XD. Now I kinda wish I had been recording when I was making fun of Shion for leaning out of the window while she was driving... Tylec, your blooper just... XDDD May the Schwarz be with you, indeed.


Mixing: There was one point when the music made a drastic change that seemed a bit awkward to me. I think it was when Raquel and Elliot were fighting and it cut to Lena and Sifr running away. But that was really it, and it wasn't a huge deal anyway. Very awesome work, as usual.

Well, what happened is a friend asked me if they could play that role, but they ultimately didn't come through. So I fell back on your lines for the role of the mother because they were really good and matched the flaps. Trust me, they were perfect! This was all last minute in the final 48hrs of the mixing, but I apologize for not giving you some sort of heads up.

Overall, I really didn't notice any huge differences in how it was said. I certainly KNOW it was said different by I think Bruce and John Smith, but it wasn't by much and to me, it didn't stand out. Still, I'll be sure to keep that in mind, because there really isn't any reason for such a thing as that to get over looked.

Ha ha, it's fine. I was just a bit surprised to see my name there in the opening XD. Again, I may be the only one thinking I sound the same since I'm used to my voice.

Yeah, it wasn't huge, but it was enough to make the obsessive-compulsive side of me sort of eyebrow raise XD. You don't have to worry about it, but I thought I'd say something since I noticed ^^;
