Radioplay Red String - recasting lead male - CASTLIST - 08-29-2007, 09:16 PM

Project information - Red String (recasting)

CASTLIST ANNOUNCED

Miharu Ogawa grew up believing that two people destined to fall in love were tied by a Red String of Fate. What will she do when she finds her chances at love have been cut short by an arranged marriage with a complete stranger? http://redstring.strawberrycomics.com

My name is Gina Biggs and I am both the creator of Red String and the producer of the radioplay. This radioplay is a long-form project, so I only ask that you please do not audition unless you are willing to make a serious commitment to this project. I am seeking auditions specifically for the recasting of the main character's love interest, Kazuo Fujwara.

CASTLIST ANNOUNCED

First, I apologize for taking so long to come up with the final cast list. I had to put my dog to sleep and I lost almost an entire week both in taking care of her in her final days and because I was such a wreck afterward. So, thank you for your patience.

Second, I want to thank each and every one of you guys who were so kind as to audition for my radioplay. It was extraordinarily tough to choose the final casting. You all did such a wonderful job. I hope to see you all audition again for other characters in the future!

Kazuo Fujiwara

Main Casting: BrandonP (confirmed)

Understudy: Sukisho (confirmed)

The original voice actor for Kazuo had gotten very sick a while back and I haven't been able to get in contact with him in over nine months.

Yeah, I was sad not to hear back from him after all this time, but in the end, I just hope he's okay

Is it important, or a consideration at all, that we make our voices sound somewhat like the original? Or would you prefer we not try to do that?

I didn't have any problems with the last voice actor's portrayal of Kazuo, so it doesn't hurt to hear how he played it. However, not sounding like the previous VA for Kazuo isn't going to count against your audition. I am more concerned with the emotion level and general portrayal of the character rather than matching your voice to the previous voice. The harmony/compatibility of the voice with Miharu's VA since the characters are so close and share many scenes. ^_^
