Anime TV- Episode 1! - 02-17-2007, 07:41 PM

Well, I liked it. I think that there was too much random discussion, but I really liked the set up of the show. Also, it was cool to hear the voice actors for Haruhi Suzumiya first hand.

I didn't mind it though I think it could benifit from a proper review and intro first. ( Ie an explanation of the show and a proper review by an anime writer) If you hadn't watched Haruhi before that would be a spoiler and you *still* wouldn't know what the heck it was about. I know it's by bang zoom but leaping directly into dub discussion seemed odd, I'd have liked some mention of the subs etc. The leaping around camera and random user submitted info I could do without, but I suspect that's normal American TV.
Overall pretty good for a pilot but it needs work.

Also yay Cristina!

That was a lot of fun to watch; it was like an anime club in a sense ^o^

I like it a lot. I just wish I could go there to review anime cartoons, esp. Aishiteruze Baby and Love Hina. But overall, it rocks.

Re: Anime TV- Episode 1! - 02-17-2007, 09:41 PM

I think they went off topic a couple of times, like when they were talking about the episodes, then they went into discussion about Halo's around the characters head or some thing, they should really stay on one topic, the switch when needed

And they went over topics, that they just discussed a few minutes ago, alot and that was annoying.

and I agree with Azure, they had some spoiler clips shown, I didn't think they realized that, and I didn't need to go through them disagreing about Haruhi, I skipped around to watch the little snippets they had of the English dub, and of course, I watched Cristina at the end so let's see if they can sort everything out in the next episode, I loved the crew, they were fun and, I think this could be a great show, I would watch it for future references!

Cristina, you looked really cute!, your not akward or nerdy >.>

Huh. Interesting idea, but uh. Wow, that was pretty darn nerdy. D: Watching it made me feel a little icky. ;; I kinda skipped over a lot of the discussion... wasn't too interested in hearing otaku argue about Haruhi Suzumiya XDD It'd be neat if they did more in the future though~

But Cristina was adorable and totally the best part <3

I totally agree with the massive amount of geekiness, almost up to a point where I was laughing my ass off at how serious they got over it >.>

BUT. It just goes to show that not all otaku are fat, smelly perverted japanophilic boys or hyperactive yaoiloving magical girl cosplayers.

I love Johnny. I love Cristina. I want more. I am totally going to cosplay as the Black Ranger and fanboy over Johnny and submit the clip for Fanplay. >D

Just PM me if you need anything, you know.

I...wasn't every entertained. Granted its the first episode and I assume things are still being formated and structured. It felt like I was walking into an anime club meeting, and the regulars are busy debating random things about an anime episode that I know absolutely nothing about. Is that the purpose of the show? To show possible real life situations? The whole thing felt like an episode of Reading Rainbow.

Were the review team's lines improved? or were they memorized from a script?

Looking forward to seeing what direction future installments go.

I enjoyed that fangirl. She was hot.

Yeah, I got a feeling that I've seen her before somewhere...I'm not quite sure. ;3

It was pretty informative and it was cool to see some English clips of Haruhi. It's not a bad cast at all, apart from Haruhi - just doesn't sound right for some reason. But anyway, the format has potential and the discussions are fun to watch.
