w00. One of my REVIEW ESSAYSNESSFINGYMABOB (Not tm'd)

So, i'll take a listen, type as i do and then take a shot at each cast member individually. Righto then.

The opening reminds me sooo much of Lord of the Rings <_>. CHOP OF HIS FINGER! Oh...nevermind. Such a beautifully mixed opening. Preetyful.

You make me look crappy .

So far it seems that alot of it is overwhelmed by the music. Don't get me wrong, i can hear whats being said, but it seems the music is very much in control of the scene, opposed to the acting.

Although, the scenes without music were done well.

I'm not sure what i think of the footsteps so far either. I'm biased though. I hate footsteps .

The battle was probaly done as well as it could have been in the audio realm. But again, i wasn't too impressed. Not your fault though

EAT TIL WE HURL!

I've never played this game <_>. So i can't comment on this version opposed to that. Shame.

I'm finding it really hard to come up with stuff here .

The scream tai gives, and then the "TAAAAAAAAAAI" didn't sound entirely realistic. But meh .

I always wanted to do something like this with the FFX game or the lord of the rings, but i never got round to it...<_>.

Lol...This is turning from a review essay thing into me talking about nothing in paticular...Its hard to critique something thats preety much perfect .

Well, this is great . Not much more to say about it. I'm not gonna even bother commenting on the acting in this, You were all up to scratch and beyond. Fabulous. And the mixing, frankly, made me wish i could mix like that myself *jealousy*.

I can't wait for the next part.

Keep it up!

Awesome, I'm glad people are liking the RP ^_^ I thought everyone did a great job in voicing their role, and I really couldn't imagine them being done by anyone else. Cefaclor and I are definately planning to make a sequal to it, but dont expect it any time soon as it's soo hard to get time to do all this. Anyway, I really gotta give all my thanks to Cefaclor as she really made this RP what it is. Wonderful!!! ^_^

Anyway, We'd really appriciate more reviews, so take a listen and tell us what you think ^_^

Re: [Pyroclor Productions] The Sword of Mana - 02-27-2006, 05:00 PM

Thank you for the great comments. I must thank pyromaster for all the hardwork and the cast too and give them a much deserved review, it must be noted however, that I didnt play the game so Im just reviewing the acting:

Tai: I very much enjoyed this dude's voice. Its so extremely docile and yet kinda crazy. You really bring out the firey motivated side of this character really well, especially in battle scenes "Im rrreeeady!". And yet his voice is like that of a lost kid. Its funny. You have to work on your night terror screams though but it was still cool the way it was delivered.

Frogs: Your character is very monotonous at some points. This made the lines hillarious at some point but perhaps if you put a tad bit more emotion you'd be okay. Other than that though, I really dig the voice for your character.

Ayu: Amazing performance and acting. What suggestion can I possibly give except to say, keep it up XD

Dark Lord: Bwahhah XD Evilness galore. I really enjoyed how very nicely you delivered every line. It was not overdone, it was just perfectly creepy. Try working on those laughs though, try taking a deep breath and slowly releasing it using support from your diaphragm.

Old man: I really love the way you delivered "your eyes glooooowed at the mention of the sword". It makes me think of a twitchy little man with wide eyes. Its so funny. You really have a 3-D organic character with what really feel like real emotions and motivations. You didnt stick to one tone as some people fall into the trap of. Anyhow, the voice is highly entertaining.

Sir Boggard: Your voice is perfect for this narrator and you deliver the lines well. The only problem I had was the beginning "In the beginning the world was void" It sounded like he was bored XD But other than that, WOW!!!

Amanda: We didnt get to see much of you this time but I love what I hear. You carry this pitch like a pro.

And thats all folks XD

The mixing is excellent. Everyone's quality is perfect O_O. You don't get this often. The sound effects and music were really good, but some effects might've been mixed in too soon, making the production in overall seem sort of rushed.

Acting was a liiiittle stiff for everyone at some points, but in general it was really well done. Most of it was covered by other people's posts alread (screams, battle cries, etc).

Don't be afraid to hold back. Just move back from the mic some more if you have to scream/yell.

I hope this sets a standard for people around here, quality-wise. In fact...I wish some of my projects sounded this good.

Awesome. I have work to do >D

Just PM me if you need anything, you know.
