Episode IV:
The Initiation, Part IV

Story:
When a mysterious second moon appears in the sky, everything in the city of Kokura, Japan begins to change. The Astronomical Agency observed this new moon and concluded that it simply doesn't exist; we see it, yet it isn't there. What can it be? Following the appearance of this new moon are dangerous monsters that began to appear and affect the city as a whole. The monsters are referred to as "Kasha" by those that know about them, after the demonic forms that they take on. However, a group of teenagers with special abilites in Kokura High, known as the Astronomy Club, have begun their own search to discover the purpose of this new moon. The Astonomy Club is simply a front for these students, who are both fighting the monsters that are attacking the city as well as scouting the city for people with abilities just like theirs.

The first arc of the series reaches its climax as Ryou finally realizes that Izumi has a hand in the recent blackouts that have been plaguing him. A showdown between the clueless and the cold ensues as Ryou confronts his supposed friend; but will he finally get answers, or will this dangerous confrontation cost him more than just a few scattered memories?

Producer's Notes:
This episode has been *long* overdue, and between late lines and me starting a new job, the conclusion to the first arc of A Night Comes! came about a month and a half later than I intended it to. =x I apologize to the cast and to everyone that has been waiting for this latest episode; I promise that, if it's within my power, I won't ever release an episode this late again!

This episode was a bit of a challenge compared to the others; the worst part was the battle scene. I think that I'm improving with each one, but I definitely feel that I've got a looooong way to go until I've perfected it completely. =x Finding music to fit the scenes was a little tough as well; hopefully, this episode is the last one where I'll have to use my beloved Persona soundtracks as a crutch, but I never say never. =x

My cast was definitely amazing in this episode; everyone did a stellar job, as per usual, and for the most part, it seems like we're at the point where everyone is comfortable enough with their characters. Another main character is going to be introduced in this next episode, so definitely look forward to that!

As always, please listen and comment and give me scathing critique if you feel that I need it; sometimes we fledgling producers have much to improve on, but we can never really catch everything that needs improving. =D

Mixing first:

In the beginning, is he running? It sounds kind of weird. I understand you're trying to make it sound like someone running in the rain, so I can understand the difficulty, but it sounded like a horse running, or something. XD Oooh, I really liked how you did the memory flashback thingy! Your transitions are very good, I'm jealous!


People!

Ryou: Bloody Howling: You're still kind of sounding stiff and choppy, but in between the stiff-ness and choppy-ness, I really like you for this character. You do that sort of "I have no idea what's going on!" persona very well.
Izumi: Cerise Panda: You're not sounding very natural sometimes. Sometimes it can be obvious that you're reading and not just being the character. I do like you in this character, though, and the times when you just let loose, you're doing very well!
Tsubasa: Sukisho: You do very well panicking and fighting!
Kyoka: Scarlotte: You scream so well. *_* As always, you did very well and your fighting was great!
Shinkai: R. Douglas Barbieri: Yep, still my favorite. You do that 'brute-ness' very well! =D
Makoto: River Angel Odin: I've got the same kind of comments as Cerise, it sounds like you're reading instead of acting out what's going on. It wasn't real noticable, but other than that, you have that toughness that really comes through.
Souji: Vincent the Paladdin: Oooh, very brute-y-ness. I like it! =D
Kouya: DPrime: Ooooh, evil! EEEEEEVIL!

Thanks for the critique! =D Wow, I never really thought that the running in the beginning sounded something like a horse, but now that you mentioned it, I really can't hear it as anything else. =x

Thanks for the compliment on the memory flashback thing; it took some time trying to figure out how exactly I was going to show Ryou's memories coming back, and I was extremely proud of how it turned out!

I just wanted to say I'm definitely enjoying this series. The actors are all settling nicely into the characters and the overall story is definitely an interesting one.
