Long ago, 4 of the greatest spirits walked among the earth. The Earth spirit MAKA, the Water spirit AMA, the Spirit of the wind TADEWI, and the Spirit of the animal TALA. And they walked among the world and created the world, and they guided their creations around the earth, but an evil spirit NUKPANA and begun destroying the world. The Great spirits fought with NUKPANA and banished him to a pit of fire. But they could never walk among their creations again. Many years after the banishment of NUKPANA, but one day far after our sons have died, he will regain his old power and arise to continue what he started.
There will be a time when great men will cross a great expanse of water from the east, and claim the land from the east to the west.And remove us from our land, and we will be few in numbers. They will build great villages not of buffalo or deer hide, but with great stones and minerals of the earth, and they will multiply in number, but when they have no enemies among themselves, NUKPANA will turn man against man, family against family, and their numbers will be as few as ours will be.
