Overview of Stuff
So a while back, around a year ago or so, I've attempted to make visual novels but have been stuck in a horrible case of editing hell.
After multiple revisions, I've yet to salvage anything from Amarilyo, but Zero. One is basically ready for demo.
There are a few minor changes
but overall it's still the same concept.
Here's the game details from the ancient thread from may 2011 in the lemma soft forums :3You play the role of Alexis (nameable heroine), an eccentric girl whose motto is "Go against the flow!", which is pretty obvious when you compare her to her other female classmates. With her preferences being Rock over Pop, Video Games over Social Networking, and Basketball over Cheerleading...You could say she's practically one of the guys.
And she could care less about the band that her best friend, Kathy, has been fawning over.
But after a horrible day at school, She returns home and is greeted not by her parents --but by the lead singer of Zero.One.
And there is no sign of her parents anywhere. Oh right, they're on a trip around the world. Without you.
How could this day get any worse?
....Of course it could.
The perverted, stuck-up brat of a vocalist insists that he's your childhood friend, and crashes in your room. You're going to have to deal with him for a couple of weeks until your parents get back. Hopefully they accuse the man of perjury or something.
But what the hell are you going to do to survive the days until then...?!
Yes, definitely have to apologize for my horrible way of wording things. I still tend to spazz a little, but that's got nothing to do with this.
I just need VAs for some characters. 3 males and 3 females. That simple, really.
EVERYONE WHO AUDITIONS FOR KEIGO GETS BROWNIE POINTS AND SPECIAL MENTIONS, BY THE WAY.
Because no one really paid attention to him in the previous auditions I've done elsewhere, and he doesn't have that many lines anyway.
Characters
Main Character: Kathy.
Hardheaded but sweet, semi-popular. Heroine's Best Friend ♥ Forevermore
Tends to obsess over the band Zero. One like nobody's business.
...And can cook a mean cottage pie like nobody's business.
Audition Lines:
- "...No, I'm playing Spork Date*Date Deluxe this time~"
- "Also, for your information, the other game I play is called DokiDoki Memento. Really."
- "Woah, chill. I'm not even in the basketball team."
- "Oh come on, I'm just trying to appreciate your interests!"
- "Oh my god. Oh my god... I got tickets to the Zero. One concert!"
- "Surprise, surprise...I guess?" (confused. unsure what's going on.)
- "You're not the type to go around making up imaginary childhood friends." (serious)
Voice Type: Proud, pretty sure about what she's saying regardless of the accuracy of her sources (She gossips a lot.) Be prepared to cry. Also has a bit of this motherly aura to her, but that's not exactly something that I can describe or imagine in voice? I don't know.
INCREDIBLY MINOR CHARACTER WHO ONLY APPEARS AT THE START: Keigo-senpai
An obtainable guy in the Otome Dating Sim "Spork Date*Date Deluxe". Kathy seems to like him a lot. A LOT A LOT.
Speaks in Japanese because her copy is Japanese with an English patch.
HIS DIALOGUE IS LITTERED WITH SO MANY CLICHES.
Audition Lines (OR BASICALLY ALL HIS DIALOGUE.):
"maa, ano ne..."
("Well, you see...")
"Okane wo tamatte, zangyou shimashita. Kanoko-chan no sotsugyou wo mimashitandesu ne."
("I saved up money and worked overtime just to see your graduation.")
"Nakunaide kudasai, Kanoko-chan. Nikoniko no toki ima yori kirei desu."
("Don't cry, Kanoko-chan. You look prettier when you smile.")
"hora, kanokochan ni sotsugyou no purezento ga kureru."
("Here, I have a present for you.")
"Omedetou sotsugyou."
("Congratulations on graduating")
Voice Type: Calm and reassuring. He's meant to be the responsible goofball type, but I guess a more formal side shows in the ending of SDD Deluxe?
*note the emphasis on "Kanoko-chan". (This kind of makes sense if you know how the naming goes in Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side. )
It should sound a liiiiittle bit forced as compared to the rest of the dialogue.
Send your Auditions to:roxas.kiseki@yahoo.com.ph
with the title "[Zero. One] Time for an Encore!"
Tell me a little about yourself, too.
Also we should coordinate on recording;;
Once you receive the role, I'll send you a snippet
of the game script asap, with your lines highlighted.
If you get accepted, also be prepared for several
delays. REALLY BAD DELAYS. I'll try to keep in touch
but there's really no guarantee I can get to things right away.
