It is not that people have lost interest in the project. Most likely the reason maybe behind the fact that your deadline was so far off. When a project has too short of a deadline or too long of a deadline interest comes off as low. I know from my experience that I tend to put off auditioning if the deadline is way off or is way to short. (Way too long for me thinking that the person leading the project may forget about my audition. Too short for me thinking= They will breeze through my audition without much thought)

Hmm I suppose that makes sense. I know I'm the same way when it comes to the deadline being so soon. If I only slightllyyy want the role I won't even bother auditioning because I assume the director already has people in mind... And laziness takes over. u_u The whole deadline far off thing never really made me worry though since I just assumed that if the director thinks I'm a decent match they'll remember me. I just hope I get more auditions as the deadline approaches. .__. Although I don't entirely mind extending the deadline if need be. Ah well. I guess only time will tell~
