Nice clip~ Thought you both fit your characters quite well.

Ruby I thought your acting for Kirito was great, but I would work on your diction. You seemed to slur a lot of lines together and it became difficult to understand what you were saying at times. Nice vocal tone regardless.

You know, everyone's been buzzing about this show, but really it's not that good so far...I'm not sure why everyone's so keen on doing fandubs of it. Anyway. That's not what I'm supposed to be writting about!

Steven - you were perfect. As expected! No hitches, clean deliveries and excellent diction. Superb job! (As always.)

Ruby - this is the first time I think I've ever heard you, and you're pretty darn good! I was impressed! And it's hard to please me. You fit Kirito really nicely. Slurring was somewhat of an issue (but not a big one). For example, on the line at 1:50 where you say "character creator option starting with that messy look of yours," could have been a tad more clear. Actually, all the lines could be more clear. But I feel for you, since I've accidentally messed up that sort of stuff before myself. Directly after that, Kirito starts running and you make panting noises that were a little too pronounced for a 1 and a half second jog. Other than that there wasn't any huge issues until the end. The last line "keep on fighting to live on in this world! This is reality!" was slightly underwhelming but still had a pretty good punch. However, that final scream was--I hate to say this--borderline comical. I don't know how you made a sound like that, but that was somewhat of a whimper to an otherwise "epic" scene. It sounded constrained and could use a bit more energy! Anyway, those are some things to keep in mind. I have to say though, I loved the fact you didn't sound robotic! It's very rare I come across someone who doesn't do that typical "anime dub" thing. Overall, excellent job! ADDED: Just found out how old you are! That's most impressive how young you sound!

Mixing was really quite exceptional! Nothing to critique there!

A Review a Day Keeps the Trolls at Bay
It's been argued quite frequently that more feedback would act as the ultimate incentive to drive up activity here. I wouldn't say I personally would respond so strongly to that, but if this is what it takes, then I will oblige. From now on, one review a day. Hopefully, this small drop in the bucket will become a torrent in due time.

REVIEW 001
First of all, I must say I am instantly biased toward this because I am also a huge fan of Xenosaga. Jr. may be my favorite protagonist, but Albedo would still be the most prolific badass out of anyone in the gargantuan cast. I've only recently started playing the third episode, though, so no spoilers, please.

I gotta say the mixing here is very sharp. Love the attention to detail with all the cloth rustles and the gaming beeps, really makes the world pop and come alive more. Volume equalization is something I still have a bit of trouble with, but all of it really sounds very natural. As for the actual portrayals, I loved Kirito's intensity at the end. I think the character may have started out just a little dull. I realize the context of the scene required him to be more matter-of-fact with the approach, but it was just a bit dry. But I did like how clean the delivery was. Maybe work a little to reduce the reverb on your microphone, though. Klein's biggest strength here was definitely his confidence and effortlessly sly delivery, great presence. Though I could tell he was trying to address Kirito seriously during the "Hey! Hold up, Kirito," part.

Yeah, it's really not as good as everyone makes it out to be. So many unexplained things and those time jumps X_x. But it's so funny when people die. Kokoro Connect is far superior. 8D ANYWAY
