Originally titled "War of Dragons" (a.k.a. Yu-Gi-Oh! The Shadow Games or Yu-Gi-Oh! Season Zero), this movie is about a boy named Shougo Aoyama who is too timid to duel even after he found himself a powerful rare card, "Red-Eyes Black Dragon". Seto Kaiba also learns about Shougo's rare find and organizes a tournament, where attendance is mandatory for those who receive an invitation. Shougo and Yuugi are chased down and roughed up by Kaiba's henchmen and with Kaiba's henchmen overpowering of both them and stealing Yuugi's Millennium Puzzle, Yuugi must enter Kaiba's tournament and show Shougo that one can have both the potential and power to become a true duelist. This show never been dubbed in English having been labeled "too violent". Approximate running time: 30 mins.

For all my tears, frustration, technical difficulties and the numerous times we have had to recast, the first half of this OVA is finally complete! However, you will have to forgive the audio levels and microphone inconsistencies at the start. Understandably so, I am tired and I have been working on this project since, FOREVER~ I did all the audio editing/mixing and stuff, so that was hard enough on top of directing and co-writing the English adaptation. I may go back to rework the audio later on. However, since our supporters have been waiting as long as we have been working on this... with all the technical difficulties and re-writing we had to do with the script. Not to mention the frustration of recasting, remixes, computer crashes and god knows what else this project been plagued with... I figured I might as well upload what we have before something prevents us from doing so... again. We all did our best and I could not have pulled this off without our amazing cast. Trust me when I say there were times where I just wanted to give up on this project all together. Phew! Regardless, thank you for your support. Enjoy the fan dub!

Looks like your hard work is starting to pay off! It was a very fun watch. All the voice actors did a fantastic job, and the mixing, as far as I can tell, sounded pretty clean. Nice work everyone!

Wow, I don't even watch Yu-gi-Oh. I think I saw the first episode when it debut on Adult Swim 5,000 years ago. I always love helping you and your team out, Sakasa, and every time I watch one of your dubs, I remember why each time: the quality of your work is second to none. If every AVA producer could be like you, we wouldn't have to clap hands over our ears and click the back button on Youtube. LOL And I know there are others like you out there but I'm licking your boots right now.

The mixing, the sound effects, the ACTORS.... oh my goodness, the actors. Impressive cast. I could tell that many of them are very comfortable in their roles and didn't read their lines. They acted. Well done, fellow cast members. The only minor, oh so minor, complaint is that Mugen and Shadyvox sounded very similar near the end of the clip. That's always been a thing for me in my projects: not to have similar sounding characters; that way, when you walk away from the screen, you can tell who is talking. This kinda works more for radioplays now that I think about it, HAHA! It struck at me, is all I'm saying really.

Take your much needed break and onwards to the next half. You can do it!!!!!


EDIT: Dammit, I didn't watch Yugi on Adult Swim. That was Yu Yu Hakusho (?). Yugi was on FOX Kids? They all blended together for me obviously.

Very happy to see part 1 out! Everyone did a lovely job, and you have done the best of all 'kasa, for bringing out the best in us!.

I still maybe could've done better, but that might be my own insecurities showing. Waiting patiently for part 2.

I'm totally pissed that Savannah can't come back for the second part. She was so good here. Gotta admit the knowledge that she'll be gone really hampered my ability to enjoy this one. I guess the product was pretty good overall, but I'm just skeptical that her replacement will be able to match her great performance here.

That's why you need to be optimistic towards different takes. Now, while it is a shame that there may have been a process of reason (because let's be honest, who recasts for no reason at all?) for a replacement, I'm sure that the next person will do a fine job in their own right, with their own direction of the character.

I know there's a perfectly valid reason for a recast, but it still bothers me when life gets in the way of good art. I can support the successor, but I just have a feeling (having worked with Savy on a full film dub of my own, I know how much of a consummate professional she is) the next actress won't quite live up to such a high bar. Though if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, nothing bad about pleasant surprises.

I don't even know where to start. This is a great dub, the mixing it so good it's almost as if its an actual dub. I can tell you work hard on this :3 All the voices seemed to fit the characters perfectly, I especially Like Shougo and Kaiba. The acting is beleiveable and Superb! I can't wait for the next part to be up.

I already said I was gonna support whoever the successor was going to be. But I'm only human, so I've got preexisting biases toward certain performers like anyone else. If I have a preference, that's just my opinion, where's the fault in that?
