In Need of an Animator

Heya, everyone. ^^ As you probablly can tell from my name thingy, I'm SilverKey. As of right now, I'm starting a YouTube series with my Co-Owner, TomBlue or Vorpse on here. Thing is, I'm in need of some help. I plan on making this an animated series but although I'm an artist, I have no idea how to animate. So that's why I'm here. I want to be able to find one of you talented artists to help make my production really come to life. P.S-
The story is about 9 young supernatural teens who are forced to go to an academy in order to strengthen themselves as monsters/supernatural beings. As they attend the academy, they soon learn that the school isn't all what it seemed to be. The school has a harsh secret. Knowing that the 8 students know about the dark secret of the school, the staff and all its supports aim to do away with the teenagers. I'll give more information on it as time goes on.
There will be a wide range of characters but at the moment I'm only focused on the ones who will be in the first episode, which should be the main characters and their parents (if they have any).

To be honest, if you're already an artist, then you have the most difficult aspect of animation covered. Learning to do keyframe animation is not difficult at all. Once you understand how keyframe animation works, the rest is easy to figure out by just doing it.

Animation, in and of itself, is extremely time-consuming and arduous work, and most animators in a community like this (who are in the age range of 15-25 primarily) aren't going to dedicate that kind of time and effort in a production that's not their own.

I would suggest doing a little research on keyframe animation, know that everything that needs to be animated on a character's body has to be its own layer, and pick up a copy of Anime Studio (if you want to animate the easy way because Anime Studio is inexpensive and is set up with tools that make the workflow much easier and even allows you to rig a 3-D shot within a 2-D animation by built-in depth-of-field settings.) or Flash (if you want to animate the hard way, where you'll have to know how to draw perspective in your backgrounds, but it still uses keyframe animation the same way Anime Studio does; however, Flash is more expensive). I still recommend the Anime Studio route because it is built specifically with the solo animator in mind.

Learning how to do keyframe animation yourself through tutorials and practice, I guarantee, will be more fulfilling for you (especially since you already have the skill to draw the characters, which is more than half the battle) and will save you more time than waiting on here for a hopeful response.

Going to disagree there. Particular animation styles that aim for a quick and more "tweening" sort of look use different layers for a character's body. But they don't *have* to be on their own layer. Traditional frame by frame animation is simply drawing the movement, one frame at a time in between the keyframes. You see less smooth/less natural animations using different layers, most of the smoother looking animations are just animated in the traditional method.

But yes, most animators will not devote their time to another person's project unless there is compensation and if you already can draw, then you might as well give animating a shot yourself.

Well, I am an artist and all but I don't have the devices to put my artwork online and such. So basically, I have work but it just can't be broadcasted at the moment.

As for both of guys advice considering animation, I'll keep it in mind. ^^ Thank you. ^^ Hopefully, I can get this going soon. If I can either get a hold of animators or manage to get this work done by my own hand, I'm sure it'll turn out well. ^^ Thanks again.
