I did this a small while back after I discovered Ky-nim's nuzlock series Myths of Unova. I've always wanted to do a small voice over of a comic and I felt Ky-nim's was the best choice to start. With that I asked for her approval for this tiny project and went to it. As for this specific comic strip, it was simple, short and didn't really ask for much in terms of ambiance and music, perfect for my first time mixing and directing anything.

Because this scene is something that is suppose to be calm ad touching, I went for somewhat of smooth but concerned approach with Nina. I can't say I've every played someone with her type of personality. So it was somewhat challenging to sound gentle and caring, while also not straying from the character.
Jordan(Zebstrika)

Jordan is a serious character, always grumpy and bit of a hothead. I had joked with Ky-nim that I could imagine Jordan being voiced by Takahiro Sakurai if he was fluent in English. Which was what inspired me to choose this comic as my first voice over. With that, I decided to cast TheAzureCrow as Jordan. Why? Because he has a wonderful knack of nailing Takahiro's characters right on the head. I told AC to give him a gruff and serious voice and that was it. I knew AC would deliver and he did.
