WELCOME TO SHIKON FANSCENES!

Shikon FanScenes is a fandubbing group for Inuyahsa Fandub scenes. If you are unfamiliar with Inuyasha, here is a little bit about it:

Higurashi Kagome, after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters in an attempt to retrieve it from one of the many demons who was after its power, Kagome must join forces with the half-demon Inuyasha, a half demon; Sango, a demon slayer; Miroku, a cursed monk; and Shippo, an orphaned fox demon, to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands.

So what we are going to do, is do small scenes from the series instead of doing a full fandub. Scenes will be from the original series, and the Final Act.

RULES:

When you audition, please audition for MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER. Because we are a group of many people, you will not always be in the scene as that character, you can rotate and try others.
Please have a decent mic with no pops, clicks or lots of background noise. Also it should be a clear mic so we can understand you.
Please label lines as Character_Username ; and zip it as SFS_Username ; Label the email as: SFS Audition

GUYS

PROTAGONISTS

Inuyasha

The male protagonist, a hybrid of a youkai-dog and a human, a half-demon ("han'yo" in Japanese). He wields the Tetsuiga, a supernatural sword made from one of his deceased father's fangs. His half brother, Sesshomaru wishes to have it, thinking Inuyasha doesn’t deserve it. 50 years ago, he was tricked by Naraku that his lover, Kikyo killed him. 50 years after he was pinned to the tree, Kagome awakens him, and they set out to kill Naraku along with their friends. He still has some feelings for Kikyo, but his relationship with Kagome grows stronger.

Miroku

A Buddhist 'houshi,' or low-ranking, itinerant monk, Miroku traveled the countryside performing services such as exorcisms and yōkai exterminations to earn his living. He suffers from a hereditary curse originally inflicted upon his grandfather Miyatsu (also a Buddhist monk) by Naraku, who exploited Miyatsu's weakness for attractive women by taking the shape of one, and reflected one of Miyatsu's ofuda back to pierce the palm of his right hand (it appears to be his left hand in the English language manga where right and left are reversed). The hole in his hand became a kazāna (air void or "wind tunnel") which sucks in anything not nailed down, regardless of mass. Miroku uses the kazāna as a powerful weapon against yōkai, but as he grows older, the kazāna grows inevitably larger, and if the curse is not broken by Naraku's death, it will grow too large to control and consume Miroku himself - the same fate his grandfather and his father have already met.

ANTAGONISTS

Naraku

The main antagonist, Naraku (literally means "underworld", or "hell") is responsible for nearly every character’s suffering throughout the series. He is a han'yō that originated from a bandit named Onigumo ("Demon Spider"). Naraku's main goal is to collect all of the shards of the Shikon no Tama in order to become a full Youkai.His platonic love for Kikyo is what drove him to kill Kikyo and seal Inuyasha on the tree and basic reason to became a demon.

Naraku's heart and seventh detachment. Despite his appearance, he is capable of speaking fluently. His main power is to control people with the darkness in their own hearts.

Hakudoshi (Can be played by Guy or Girl)

the eighth detachment from Naraku. Created from Akago's body, he took the form of a young child. Because his heart remained inside The Infant, he could use all of the same powers and his own body could endlessly regenerate from any damage. Eventually, both The Infant and Hakudōshi grew tired of Naraku's rule, and sought to betray and overthrow him.

Voice Type: Medium High

2. Come now, is that really what’s upsetting you? Why must you persistently interfere with things that are not your concern? Perhaps I’ll meddle with those villagers, whoa re trying to escape.

Byakuya

He has an incredible power to create illusions, but has many other powers as well: he can possess people with paper soldiers, summon vines to entrap his enemies, teleport others to different dimensions, detach organs from his body and erect barriers; making him essentially the most powerful of Naraku's detachments. He travels on a giant origami paper crane. He also has an ability to detach one of his eyes, which becomes a flying eye demon, which he uses to spy on his enemies.

Bankotsu

Bankotsu (蛮骨) is the leader,and the strongest member of the Band of Seven. He is also the youngest of the group. He carries the huge Banryu halberd. Bankotsu is a skilled mercenary and has killed many people; however, he frequently shows a sense of honor and compassion, though only for his six companions.

Voice type: Medium-Medium Low

Audition Lines:
1. So, you’re Inuyasha, my, my, you’re a strong one. *finally getting to meet Inuyasha after hearing so much about him*
2. I suspect the barrier has been strengthened, so neither Inuyasha nor Koga can come after us.

Mukotsu

short poison master and is the sixth strongest of the Band of Seven. He abducts Kagome and, in the anime, tries to have a wedding ceremony with her but becomes angry at her due to her reaction to his facial features, and tries to kill her when she tries to remove his Shikon Jewel shard.

Voice Type: Medium Low

1. Excellent, he’s at it again. Jakotsu hasn’t changed one bit. (evil laugh) *smirking to himself*

Renkotsu

second in command and is the third strongest member of the Band of Seven. He became resentful of Bankotsu's power and dares to betray him. After Ginkotsu self-destructed to save Renkotsu from Koga, Renkotsu took Ginkotsu's shard and stuck it in his wounded shoulder.

Voice Type: Medium low

Audition Lines:
1. No, only big brother had met Naraku. Naraku handed him sacred jewel shards, including ones for us. Naraku told him that if we got rid of all who sought Naraku, the shards would become ours. *explaining*

Ginkotsu (if you are cast as him, you will also be extras in other scenes)

metal parts on his body and various amounts of weaponry within and is the fifth strongest of the Band of Seven. His speech is rarely intelligible, only changing when angered. He barely survives his first encounter with Inuyasha and is reconstructed into a siege tank with spider-like legs by Renkotsu.

Voice Type: Low (metallic sounding)

Suikotsu

has two definite split personalities. One, a gentle, philanthropist doctor who looks after orphans; the other is a sadistic killer that earns him spot in the Seven-Man Army. When his evil side takes hold he seems to possess a dry sense of humour and a insatiable desire for blood, while when his good side is in control he often hallucinates that he has blood on his hands. He may have a third personality, as shown after he falls off a rope-bridge; this personality seems to be a combination of his other two. Doctor Suikotsu develops a close, empathic relationship with Kikyo.

OTHER CHARACTERS

Sesshomaru

a powerful dog daiyōkai and feared throughout the feudal world as the ruler of the western lands, Lord Sesshōmaru. He was the half-brother of the half-demon Inuyasha and the successor to the Inu no Taishō, their father. Unlike many other demons, he had no interest in possessing even one shard of the Shikon no Tama to enhance his powers. On his journey, he was accompanied by a two-headed dragon named A–Un, a demon imp named Jaken, and an orphaned human girl named Rin.

Voice Type: Low (The majority of his lines are uncaring and cold)

3. (small chuckle)Inuyasha, your patience with this creature is astonishing to me. You protect her, indulge her… even seem to love her.

Jaken

a kappa demon who is extremely loyal to Sesshōmaru, often praising his master's greatness.
Although Jaken is not nearly as powerful as his employer, he is skilled at wielding the Nintōjō (Staff of Two Heads). He seldom engages in battle and is actually killed by Kaijinbo with Tōkijin, but Sesshōmaru resurrects him with Tenseiga.

1. Lord Sesshōmaru, I regret to inform you there are no boats… eh… unless you can’t the ones over there.

(realizes what he just said and screams in surprise) I don’t mean you’re useless lord Sesshomaru, I mean your sword was, or at least I know your using of it. That halfbreed brother of yours can use his, which makes him more powerful (panics again) *first explanatory, and then goes into panic*

Myoga

is a flea yōkai who appears randomly and gives Inuyasha information on current events, foes, and the shards of the Shikon no Tama. Myōga often flees before or during a battle, which the others recognize as a sign of pending danger; his mere presence in any area is enough to determine its safety. Myōga enjoys drinking yokai blood.

Voice Type: Medium High (Old Man)

1. Well, uh lord Inuyasha… I uh suppose it’ll make a lovely uh, heirloom, if nothing else. (nervous laugh) besides, it’s the thought that counts… now if you’ll excuse me. *when the Tetsuiga doesn’t work, and Inuyasha is looking for guidance and he doesn’t know the answer*
2. I went to get us a ride home, you believe me right? *pause* Ok, I run away, but if I had known you were going to make it out of there I wouldn’t have left you behind! *At first nervous, to see if Inuyasha would believe him, and then he cracks and starts pleading and kind of fake crying*

Totosai

an elderly blacksmith Yōkai who forged Tessaiga and Tenseiga from the fangs of his old friend, The Inu no Taisho. As Inuyasha grows stronger and Sesshōmaru grows more compassionate, they become more capable of mastering their respective swords, which Totosai strengthens accordingly. He spends most of his time at his forge inside a volcano, but sometimes travels elsewhere on a flying three-eyed ox named Mō-Mō.

Kohaku

Sango's younger brother. He is also a yōkai Taijiya, like his sister and father, from the Village of Demon Slayers. He was manipulated by Naraku through most of the series, kept alive only by the Shikon Jewel shard in the back of his neck.

Koga

the young leader of the eastern yōkai-wolf tribe, or the Yoro clan, which is nearly wiped out by Kagura and Naraku. He first meets Inuyasha as an opponent in battle, but becomes a reluctant, occasional ally despite maintaining a strong sense of rivalry with the "useless mutt" about their relative combat strengths as well as Koga's persistent courtship of Kagome.

PROTAGONISTS

Kagome Higurashi

The female protagonist and a third year middle school student. Kagome can be extremely sweet, but can also become very dangerous when provoked. InuYasha wears a special bead necklace (known as the Beads of Subjugation) which only responds to Kagome's command: when she yells "Sit!" ("Osuwari!") (Often "Sit, boy!" in the dub) InuYasha is thrown to the ground. She has deep feelings for Inuyasha that are very apparent, but Inuyasha remains oblivious.

Sango

A yōkai slayer ("yōkai taijiya") who hails from a village of professional yōkai slayers. The only member of InuYasha's group to have no supernatural powers, Sango instead wields the Hiraikotsu, a massive boomerang made of yōkai bones, in addition to a broad repertoire of tools and tricks for battling yōkai. Sango is also a victim of Naraku's evil schemes: her family was killed and her entire village destroyed by Naraku's yōkai so that Naraku could then blame Inuyasha and manipulate Sango into trying to kill him. When that ploy failed, Naraku used a shard of the Shikon Jewel to revive and control her little brother Kohaku, forcing him to fight Inuyasha and company, and using him as a means by which to manipulate Sango.

Shippo ( I know he’s a boy, but I would rather have girls try, than boys hurting themselves)

An orphaned young yōkai-fox (kitsune) whose father was killed by the Thunder Brothers, Hiten and Manten, and the first character in the story to join InuYasha and Kagome in their travels as a group. Shippo can shapeshift, but his forms are temporary, often incomplete and ineffective, and he is usually given away by his telltale tail. His other noteworthy abilities are turning into a wooden horse that can fly, leaving a trail of yelping mushrooms and acorns, illusionary tricks with toys like his giant spinning top attack, using his race's notable fox fire magic (which rarely seems to work properly), and making things like leaves or himself multiply. He tends to be naively observant and often makes pointed and cheeky comments directed towards InuYasha, earning him a retaliatory bonk on the head for his unsolicited "advice".

Voice Type: High, slight rasp

Kagura

Kagura is a wind sorceress created from Naraku's own body. Despite this, she has her own mind and is willing to fight desperately for freedom.

Kanna

Kanna is the first detachment of Naraku. She appears to be a ten-year-old girl with white hair and clothing. As a "concealed incarnation" of Naraku, Kanna has no scent and no demonic aura, making her undetectable to InuYasha's senses and immune to demonic aura-related effects such as the Hakurei-zan barrier. Kanna is the only incarnation that Naraku trusts with important information about his actions, allowing her to give orders in his place.

Jakotsu (Is a male, but will be played by a girl because of the voice type and personality)

the second strongest of the Band of Seven and the third in command, was close friends with Bankotsu before the group was formed. Bankotsu notes that Jakotsu is the only person he trusts. He fights using a sword called the Jakotsuto, which has snake-like, retractable blades that make it difficult for an opponent to calculate Jakotsu's next move.

Voice Type: Medium

1. So this Inuyasha I’m supposed to be after, is he handsome, good looking?
2. I’m not really sure… I’ve never met the man. *trying to be seductive*

OTHER CHARACTERS

Rin

a young, human girl who became a traveling companion of the dog daiyōkai Sesshōmaru, Lord of the Western Lands. Often left to her own devices, Rin was exploring a forest near her village when she discovered the injured Lord Sesshōmaru. After his fight with his half-demon brother Inuyasha, his injuries left him temporarily immobilized, but he refused to accept the food and water Rin brought him. Rin continued to bring him food and water despite this. However, Rin was killed by a pack of wolves that attacked her village when returning from the forest. He originally planned to pass her by, but the memory of her smile and kindness made him turn back. To test his newly acquired sword, Sesshōmaru used Tenseiga to slay the gaki surrounding her corpse. After being revived, Rin regained her ability to speak and happily joined Sesshōmaru in his travels.

Ayame

the granddaughter of the Northern wolf tribe leader, Yōrōzoku. She was once saved by Koga as a little girl and was promised marriage when she got older. She later grows up and comes after Koga, saying that her grandfather was going to marry her off to another wolf demon but she chose him since he promised, is very persistent, and tries to use force several times on him.

Kikyo

a miko during the Sengoku jidai and, at one time, Inuyasha's love interest. She was entrusted by the yōkai taijiya to guard and purify the Shikon no Tama. Along with her sister, Kaede, Kikyō dedicated her life to protect the jewel, slaying many demons in the process and thus could not live a normal life like other girls. It wasn't long until she met the hanyō Inuyasha, who also desired the jewel to become a full yōkai. She died after being tricked by Naraku, believing that it was in fact Inuyasha that killed her. When she is revived by Urasue, she has only the thought of killing Inuyasha for revenge.

Kaede

a secondary character in the series. In the story, she provides important advice and backgrounds for the story to progress. She is Kikyo's younger sister.
