Hey folks! ZettoVyker here looking for two male Voice Actors for a recast for characters in the
visual novel Katawa Shoujo! (And to be clear, we are casted for many of the roles in Act-1, with the exception of minor characters moving forward in Act-2. We’ll work on that as the need arises however.)

For starters, this Fandub of Katawa Shoujo Mou Ichido (KSMI for short) was just a REALLY small project at first, but expanded to much bigger, and broader purposes than I could have ever imagined. Long story short, we've been working together since the late January of this year , how we intend to release episodes, improving our voices, editing ability, and overall quality of the project. That is why we're only looking to fill in these two roles, since we have our group casted and filled for the main characters. Amazingly enough, the cast are more or less casual Voice Actors, doing this for the fun, and of course, for the feels. Nothing super professional with copyright infringements, just for fun and to reach out to a new audience.
I will admit that these roles require high dedication, and scenes will be on a deadline in order to keep a steady flow of episodes. With that said, the timeframe for the project will be about a full year, but if we pace it faster we could be done by Fall-Winter for Act-1. If you have problems with this level of engagement, or if you have foreseeable schedule troubles in the future please note them in your email with your audition.
We’re looking for:
-A medium/high airy thought/filled voice for Hisao Nakai (Teen)
Hisao Nakai, as a normal high school has a simple and memorable tone that has an array of inflections and styles. During his story telling, he will be annoyed, flustered, quizzical, panting, and everything else a normal person would go through. But more interestingly, is how the arcs role though. As each story gets told, Hisao's voice, thoughts, and talking manner will become more like that girl. Up to the point where they have a mirrored conversation. The depth and pitch of his voice are not important, but what matters is that it is memorable.
For Hisao, we would like to have you create. A lot of people have preferences to already made voices in anime’s, but one thing notable here is that each voice by each VA has been created originally for the characters of Katawa Shoujo. If you want a reference voice though, you can email me with your audition and request a reference take if you’d like.
Line 1: (Snowing outside, a bit cold, and thought to self)
"As far as cliche's go, I'm more of a fan of the letter-in-the-locker, but at least this way shows a bit of initiative."
Line 2: (faintly, and a bit entranced"
"Uh, hi. Sorry for intruding, I was just... kind of lost."
Line 3: (Speaking to Mutou Sensei, a bit dreadful)
"I just don't know what to think about... the disabilities. It's like... it feels that I'm being impolite if I pay attention to them, and it's weird to ignore them." , "Damned if I do, damned if I don't."
-A medium/high soft alluring voice The Nurse (Young Male, mid 20’s).
Now, you see here, the Nurse is a very very relaxed guy. I imagine a mild mannered voice that isn't forced at all, and almost uncaring about the fact that he's the person that if anyone is about to die will rely on.
On the flip side, he can cut this off, and become a very stern doctor, one that clearly does not want hear any objections. His words are to be taken in a deadly serious tone, and almost expects it to be an unbreakable law. And then, he goes too and from these voices, which match his facial expression.
Line 1: (Smiling, and with a wink)
"My sources tell me that you've been at neither the school track nor even the pool, so I'd like to know if you have taken up exercising as I asked."
Line 2: (a few lines after Line 1, now with a dead flat seriousness)
"When I told you to exercise I wasn't joking. I understand that you are still in your first week and all, but please don't ignore the importance of this."
Line 3: (split personality line, first serious, then cheery)
"You're not being very convincing there, Hisao. Tip number one: medical professionals are not amused if you take their advice lightly...*shrugs then smiles* Okay. That's more like it. If you go to the school track tomorrow morning, you'll meet my 'spy,' who probably has not qualms offering consultation to you if you want to jog a bit."
