BACKGROUND
For many months, I have been working on a Fantasy Machinima on Halo: Reach called HEARTS OF DUSK. The Machinima is a mix of all the things that I loved as a child and compressed into a demographic that I am familiar with. The aim of the project for me is the bring about a feeling that the old Disney Films had but put it into my own unique outlook. There is no United Nations and no Covenant in this. The Machinima isn't related to the Halo series in anyway and is a brand new universe created by me. There are many things included but one of the most notable things is the inclusion of three unique alien species. The Darkilds, The Medians and The Wonderhearts. All of them are the three species that reside within this story. In terms of story, we follow our protagonist, Set (also known as Setaria of Azalor) on his adventure after he was hunted down by those he loved and hated by the entire kingdom of Valaria. Only by fulfilling his pre-determined destiny as the fabled "Duskheart" can Set hope to achieve the peace he has been seeking but the journey will not be easy. You are facing a King and his people as an enemy. Furthermore, his relations with the so-called "God of Lumian" are at bitter ends.
In terms of Vocal work, HEARTS OF DUSK is going to have 35 different voice roles, each with a different purpose. They can either be lines for extras or perhaps the protagonists and major characters themselves. I will write down a list of the protagonists and all the characters and mark which have been taken soon but first I want to hear you Voice Demos if you are interested in the project. The instructions on how to contact me are on this video of mine. Don't mind the Body Acting part, that's just for anyone interested in puppeteering work.

Here I've made a list of the characters that you can choose to voice act for and I've narrowed them down from Major to Minor characters. Some of them have already been taken so I will be removing the ones that have already been taken from the list. I'll stop posting on the thread once all the positions have been filled. MAJOR CHARACTER LIST
(PROTAGONISTS)
VIZARI (Female - Protagonist) - TAKEN
"We’re all going to die sooner or later so why not go down this way while fighting instead of waiting for death? So what do you say, Set? You in?"
Vizari isn't introduced until later in the story but she still plays a big role in it regardless. She is the daughter of the great Darkild Master Kharzul and second-in-command for the Darkild rebellion within the heart of the ship, Ascendant Justice. She's stern and confident whenever she's leading the Darkild rebels into action and she's the perfect role model for a leader... That is until she meets Setaria. Whenever she is around him, her personality changes due to the crush that she develops for him. When speaking to him, her tone tends to change and her mood begins to swing but apart from that, she's a character that needs to be executed well. In order to voice her, the actor needs to be able to be fluent in their lines and also un-afraid of speak loudly in other scenes. Her age is roughly around that of a teenagers (Specifically 16-19) so make sure you take that in when voicing the character. Most importantly however, she has some emotional lines in the movie so make sure that you can pull emotional scenes well enough.
MASTER KHARZUL (Male - Protagonist) - TAKEN
"I am... truly sorry for what happened. If I had known that my followers had been committing such acts earlier then I would intervened..."
Master Kharzul... The Great Darkild Master and the son of the "Fourth" Duskheart, Ziera. Kharzul is a wise and noble Darkild who believes that the key for peace is independence. He knows all too well of the King's tyranny and the deception that Emperor Malganis places upon the Duskhearts but he chooses to let fate deal with them instead. He is Vizari's father and has treated her well enough for most of years. He isn't afraid to treat her harshly however should she do something wrong. He isn't against conflict but he doesn't support it and will only commit to it if necessary. For the actor to pull off this part well enough, he needs to sound wise but I don't mind how the character sounds. As long as the voice is mature (around the age of 20-30 perhaps) then it is acceptable. Kharzul needs to sound like he's the guiding light through these dark times so make sure if you want to voice this part that you remain confident and fluent in your lines.
SHEERA (Female - Protagonist) - TAKEN
"Sorry, I just got a bit excited.I’m Sheera... If you already haven’t guessed, I’m Azreal’s beloved"
Sheera is Azreal's girlfriend and a kind woman in Set's eyes. She's formal, blunt and lovely in terms of care. Though the means of how she gets by are not explained, she happily invites Set into her care back at her house. Sadly, she is one of the victims that is imprisoned by the Royal Guard for assisting a criminal (That would be Setaria in this case). She also isn't afraid to speak out her mind but she does not approve of violence of prejudice ways. She shows this by commenting on Set's ethnicity as a Darkild. To portray this character well enough, the actor needs to be fluid in their lines but also remain calm and supportive. What will make this character effective in striking a chord in the audiences is her kindness and how she is victimised by the Royal Guard simply for being herself. Make sure you mimic yourself as being a kind noble should you wish to take this part.

(ANTAGONISTS)
KING ABADDON (Male - Prime Antagonist) - TAKEN
"So I finally meet you... Setaria of Azalor..."
Abaddon... The Lord of the Kingdom of Valaria and the leader of the Wonderheart Uprising. This is perhaps the hardest character to voice. He specifically needs to have a voice actor who can execute fluid lines and isn't afraid to get emotional in their lines. There are many things that the character needs to have in order for him to be perfect. An example is that the actor needs to be able to give him a sort of royal and posh tone but also add a malicious undertone towards it. King Abaddon is sly, cunning, sadistic and overall a cruel man. He believes that the Darkild species are an infection to his kingdom and the planet and he wants to erase all of them from existence. Throughout the film, I want the actor to portray himself as being extremely confident and making sure that they enjoy every second of what they. Two prime examples of what I want the character to sound like are Professor Rattigan from "Basil the Great Mouse Detective" or Minister Frollo from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". I really want this character to excel so to whoever is reading the description for this part right now, make sure you get your lungs ready for the vocal work.
CHANCELLOR MALLADUS (Male - Antagonist) - TAKEN
"That was quite brave of you to stand before the council like that... Tell me... What drives your ambition?"
Chancellor Malladus is a strange case. He's one the characters in the movie that turns from a supposed ally into an Antagonist. This is because of the notion that the Chancellor and his council want to imprison the protagonist, Setaria of Azalor within their ancient walls. They do this because they want to respect an un-easy treaty between the Darkild Council and King Abaddon's Army within the floating city of Ascendant Justice. Chancellor Malladus is a wise and cunning elder but can also act quite irrational when faced with the idea of failure. He wishes to do everything for the good of Azalor and her citizens. In order to execute this character well enough, the actor has to have a moderate-deep voice with a hint of wisdom and tolerance in there. They also need to be able to deliver their lines fluently and ensure that the character does not have any pauses in the dialogue. In short, this character is much more calm then King Abaddon but the similarities between the two must be distinguished well enough for the audiences the tell that it's two different voice actors and not just the same one. He's quite a difficult part so be prepared to work hard to execute the lines well enough should you wish to voice this character.
BRIGADIER TIREEN (Female - Antagonist) - TAKEN
"So... If you would be so kind... Hand... over... the Duskheart..."
Brigadier Tireen is one of the roles that I really want to be executed well. Tireen is the leader of the Royal Guard for the city of Ascendant Justice in which King Abaddon rules. She follows her majesty's orders obediently and makes sure that no-one gets in the way of her mission. She loves to toy with people's emotions, battle-ready and in reality, a sadist. In order to execute Tireen's lines well enough, the actor needs to be able to pull off the lines fluently enough and make sure that they breath life into the character. Most Halo Machinimas have not portrayed a female role well and that is why I hope that Tireen can bring about a fresh perspective into this. I want the actor to be as confident as possible when voicing this character.
