Hey there everyone. I haven't been on this site in a long time since I moved to Japan but I thought I'd share a little something since I was just reminded about this forum when I got a friend request today. I live about 30 minutes away from Nagoya on the Chita peninsula. Anyway, what's interesting about Chita Peninsula is that each city on the Chita Peninsula is associated with a voice over artist who promotes the city as a cute anime girl on infomercials promoting the city. It's called Chita Musume. A few weeks ago they held some auditions near my house. I almost entered the audition... but I chickened out because my Japanese proficiency isn't that great and not only that, it was sort of like a talent competition as well. You had to introduce yourself to an audience, do 30 seconds of character lines in front of the audience, show case one talent (e.g. singing), and then answer questions from the audience and judges. Anyone else out there ever try to audition in another language before?
