But that’s beside the point, isn’t it? So anyway,
I play a certain children’s card game (loads of fun) on DuelingNetwork, where it’s free to play with other people online. All well and good. To sum it up, I have loads of time on my hands, a very active imagination, and ¼ of a lifetime in experience hopping from one train of thought to the next. Obviously, something was bound to happen.
In my head pops the image of a Yu-Gi-Oh original fan series (something I haven’t located anywhere at all, which surprises me a great deal).
Essentially, using some mad-awesome artist’s skills in a animatic-like presentation (examples included here: http://goo.gl/iPtIM here: http://goo.gl/yz4kA and especially here between 1:09 and 1:15, where the changes are minor: http://goo.gl/bPPYs), it would be possible to make a good fan-based YGO series, providing a number of things are done just right.
In addition to a good-to-moderate artist, I require a number of things to make this ambition a reality, including, but not limited to:
> Voice actors with decent mics (who could preferably voice 3-5 characters minimum)
> Writers to help with plots and scripting, etc
> Audio Mixers (to add background music, sound fx, and make sure the VA lines are clear and relatively the same volume)
> In addition to whatever else I might be forgetting at the moment but someone else thought up

P.S. also, if this project does, by some fluke or miracle of whatever god you sacrifice your virgin-folk to (joking, of course), would you prefer that the series stick to tried and true cards that actually exist, or would you prefer/be okay with adding original cards as long as we don’t pull out one-turn-kill cards with no weaknesses whatsoever or anything of the sort that otherwise cheapens the experience?
