Not at all married to that title just what I called it in order to work on it when I started it a few years ago.
It was intended for a live action movie but that's going to be hard to do, however I was thinking it would be awesome to do as like a dramatic reading, get a bunch of people together and make it sort of like one of those old time radio broadcasts, it's a murder mystery as well so it would be GREAT for some sort of radio drama. Just more updated for the times.
Takes place in a high school, revolves around a group of four students who are seniors. The high school is an alternative one so it's already not your typical high school. The two main females have already been cast but there's a long list of available roles as of now.
The plot:
Monica, Liz, Kyle, and Ray rule the school with an iron fist of popularity, no one really questions them, most just accept the power they have over the social aspect of the school, well the students do. The teachers, however, will tell a different story. Monica is the most hated student there, with only two teachers who actually like her, one of whom she's having a torrid affair with. When the school is in the running to receive grant money, something it desperately needs, things have to be changed and Monica has to be dealt with. After Monica dies, it seems like maybe it was just a fluke, but Liz has other ideas as to what happened and who did it. When the rest of her friends start getting picked off one by one, it's up to Liz to figure out who is doing it and if she is next, when that will be.
This is all based on actual people I knew, Monica being based loosely on me, okay I am not going to lie, Monica is exactly like me and how I was in high school. Liz's character is in dedication to my really good friend in high school who ended up taking her own life about 7 years ago, Ray is a guy I actually know as of now, is aware he's a character in this movie and loves it, and Kyle is just a culmination of all the other guys in the school.
Everyone down to the teachers has a person in real life they are based off of. I need to see this project through to completion as it's my subtle jab at getting back at them for what they put me through.
This project contains a lot of adult language and themes so if that's something you aren't interested in, please don't inquire, as this is one script I don't at all intend to censor language wise because I wrote it exactly how all of us talked in high school and it brings more realism to the table than if the characters are spouting Oh Jeeze and Dag Nabit all the time.
I cannot offer any money from the start, what I can offer is this: You put something into this and it turns a profit, you will get your portion of that profit. When I talk about Epublishing I already established my own company and have info on it up on the site that I use, so other than the site that hosts it to sell it (which I am going to have to pay for even if I pay for my own actual website, I mean nothing is free and I don't know how to design actual websites without a template, if anyone wants to help with that I'd love it, I have a domain name already reserved) but I digress.
I am looking for people from all over, I need male and female voices, one character is Irish and a much older male so I need that specifically as well. Don't care about your age or background or even your list of credits, if I hear you, like you, and think you match the character you'll most likely get the part, and you can also audition for more than one as I am not going to get like 50 people to do this, nor do I think I need to hire a single person for a character who only has one line
I want to make this happen, I am a hard worker, very dedicated, and trying to start up this production company. From here I intend to go into more horror and sci-fi work but this is what I have now, a completed script and something I am willing to start with to see where it takes me. This is the internet, things can go viral even if it takes a few years, I am not asking for all that much, I don't think, but for you to have faith in the production and faith that it will help you with something. In the end, when it becomes a completed project and is out there for sale and ownership you can slap that onto your list of credits whether you get paid or not and I know (cause I do modeling work) every legit job you get, whether it's crap pay or no pay gets you farther into the door.
So what do you say? I have a link to the site that it's on, a list of characters I need to cast still, and though I can put this together all by myself with just voice reels it'll be much quicker if I have someone who has done something like this before, just because it would be easier than me having to do a bit of trial and error to get things right. I have tons o audio and video editing software on my computer that I am really good at using, but I do not know everything. So I just basically need a lot of help and a lot of people to put faith in this.
