  1. #1 Ahoy!
    Sup, people!

My name is Stian Bentzen, though I stick to "Zenbent" in the online world.
I'm an aspiring voiceactor and singer, which is why I joined this website. I've started to realise that I'm soon turning 20, and should take my life seriously when it comes to what I want to be and such.
I've been looking for some voiceacting sites before, but never really heard about this one, which I find surprising now that I have. Heard about it from a Q&A video by Jesse Cox (OMFGcata @ Youtube), and I'm looking forward to see what this site may bring to the table.

    Some basic information:
I'm basically a Norwegian high school dropout, as I never really got the "This is the right choice!" feeling when I tried.
    I'm 19 years of age.
I'm a smoker, though I drastically quit chainsmoking recently, to take better care of my voice. (Wish me luck on that one!)
As of now, I've never had a job, be it within or outside of voiceacting.
I'm a gamer, both indie and AAA titles. My Steam library has 200 (+/-) games in it.
I'm passionate about the things I do.
What inspired me to becoming an aspiring voiceactor was videogames. More specifically, I believe Jim Cumming's role in Splatterhouse was what made me think "THIS is what I wanna do!".
I'm serious about voiceacting, though I believe having fun while doing something makes a better result.
I currently get my money through welfare, so I'm normally quite short on money as I have to fly over to England every month to see my girlfriend. Though, if I was asked to fly out to a studio, I'd prioritize that.

My current plans for voiceacting are to get some breathing lessons, acting lessons, and at some point go to America and get a vocal lesson from Ron Anderson, who's taught and coached several truckloads of musicians.

    I guess that's about it.

    Thanks for reading

    Welcome to the VAA!

Wow. Thanks a lot of honesty there. Not many people will share that much but yeah. Good job on smoking less. Yes, our voice is important too when voice acting. When I seriously started voice acting, I learned a lot more about my voice. Like how I perform better after I eat, how I lisp if I'm too tired. Etc.

But yeah good luck and everything!
