Hey! ty for checking this! i'm in need of help bad! my friend and i did a duet of an opening to Deadman Wonderland, and i'm planning on doing more openings. however i can't find the instrumentals for them. i can find the instrumenals for the WHOLE song. just not the opening itself.

I was told i have to cut the full instrumental to create the opening piece. But i've tried that and i have the darndest time with it.

i was wondering if anyone could give me a tutorial on how to do it, or any tips or tricks ANYTHING to help.

    thank you sooo much!!!!!

    ~_.Holy bleep I need a demo reel._~

There really isn't any tricks, it's just a case of figuring out which parts need cut and which parts to keep. Sometimes, people on Youtube might upload tv-size instrumentals but it's very rare [I used to do them myself and ended up only doing a few due to how much time they take]. Unfortunately, that's one of the badpoints of doing a cover.

As for tutorials, they'd be pretty useless since different songs cut out different parts in the shorter versions. It takes a good ear and alot of time but it gets easier as time goes on.

I advice having two tracks with the full instrumental and the opening song on top. So you can hear when they play at the same time and when it changes. If you hear a change, listen to the part you have to search for, mute the opening song and search the full instrumental for that part and cut the unnecessary parts out.
Then move the usable part around until it synchronizes with the opening song. (a cross fade mostly helps to get both parts flow smoothly, but it needs good timing)
    Hope this helps a little.

    Good luck!
