Hey! My name's Ted, I'm male from British Columbia, and it's nice to meet all of you.
I've been somewhat interested in voice acting for a couple years now. I've always been able to change my voice to do different characters and such. Quite recently I was reading aloud for my English class. We were doing Romeo and Juliet and reading the play in a dramatic sort of way. Each student was assigned one or many characters to read the parts for. I chose Juliet and Paris. (obviously Juliet was a bit silly, but it was amusing and eventually accepted.) I was getting very into my roles, doing different voices and changing my speech depending on how the character's emotions were being portrayed. The subject came about with my classmates and they told me I was very good at what I was doing. Later on I was discussing the subject with a friend of mine, they told me I should look more into it and see if I could get into a volunteer position or something. So I did. I started googling around when I stumbled upon a person on Yahoo!Answers looking for the exact same thing I was. There was a link to this forum so I decided I;d check it out. It seems very nice and welcoming here, as well as the open volunteering positions which I plan to audition for in the future.
