E3: Come For The Games, Leave Disappointed

Probably my top picks from the E3 would be:

Splinter Cell: Blacklist (Loved Conviction)

Assassin's Creed 3 (the open-word god-like killer named Connor is pretty epic)

Watch Dogs (Very interesting concept)

ZombiU (Puts pretty much every RE and SH wannabe to shame)

PlanetSide 2 (The TotalBiscuit streams were pretty epic, a Free-to-play MMOFPS that looks more promising that 60 dollar shooters like CoD)

and Resident Evil 6. (Move and Shoot, CQC/Melee, and Real-time graphics that rival that of the CG movies)

EDIT: Oh, and Injustice looks like fun, if not very over-the-top...I do hope they show more since the graphics and gameplay have plenty of potential.

While this year's E3 wasn't anything special, I think that's mostly due to the massive influx of information we have nowadays from the internet. Its just not as impactful as it used to be. However, there were some things that I am looking forward to:

-Pikmin 3. Because its Pikmin 3, what else do I need to say.
-Watch Dogs (Uplink + GTA? Sign me up! Nice to see some original IPs, and I loved the presentation)
-Paper Mario: Sticker Star for 3DS. The new battle system looks like a very interesting departure from the more traditional combat systems from Paper Mario 1 and 2, plus hey, new Paper Mario!
-ZombiU. Considering the rouge-like elements of it, it seems like an actual horror game for once, compared to most games which is "tons of action but with zombies and jumpscares."
-Shootmania. While officially acknowledging ESPORTS seems silly, its a good thing I think (then again I play fighting games competitively, so I might be biased there) Plus, it looked like a good game.
-Rayman Legends. Looks really fun and is really pretty to look at.
And while technically not revealed at E3 during any confrences, they announced that Fire Emblem Awakening is coming to North America, which makes me very happy.
Also P-100, a Wii U title being developed by Platinum Games, headed by the 3 main guys behind Okami. While it wasn't shown off at the conference because it won't come out within the Launch Window of the Wii U, it looks like a lot of fun.

Of course, almost every conference spent way too much time on the wrong things. Xbox on everything that wasn't a video game, Sony on the Wonderbook, Nintendo piddled out with NintendoLand. EA was boring as molasses from start to finish, and Ubisoft at least was consistently entertaining. However, Nintendo should've stolen the show, since they got the Wii U. They really dropped the ball this year. But, I think we got plenty of interesting things this year. Like Iwata holding a banana.

But yeah I was kinda surprised on Nintendo part. I began watching in 2010 and for them the past two years were great. So was expecting some more but hey at least the Wii U has good launch games compared to the 3DS launch. I won't lie. I think games like ME3,AC 3 and Batman will work better with the Wii U rather then the PS# and 360 due to the Gamepad.
