Hasn't been anything here for a bit, so it's time for something new! Here's a question not directly related to VA I thought up, since it's Memorial day and some people have that off..

What's your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Mostly just laze around. Catch up on some mixing or scripting for projects. If I can fit the time in, watch anime.

Drink with the family.

I don't even like alcohol, but it's basically the one hobby we all share. In fact, one of the most quality bonding moments I've had came in the form of drunken horribly coordinated catch with my dad. Kind of sad reading it out loud.

Anyway, we all have very different problems in our lives right now; one of my cousin just accidentally popped out a kid, my other one's been struggling with painkillers, having trouble with his dad's who's trying to juggle both setting him straight and raising his own baby with his new wife. My other uncle's dealing with the awkward feeling returning to life with the woman he impregnated before leaving for Vietnam for 3 years, and my dad's functional alcoholism is beginning to lose its "functional" part. Having us all ride the same buzz kinda helps us tune into and feel for each other, despite our differences.

On a brighter note, it also builds up my tolerance for when I move out to main campus for college next semester, and the aftermath carnage of all these unplanned pregnancies has taught me the importance of wrapping it up!

Minecraft, Xbox, Even voice recording on my day off helps too... Other than that, Basically the point of The Lazy Song.

If I truly have time to kill, I can marathon hours upon hours of watching shows I need to catch up on. In terms of VA I like to look around at audition threads and challenge myself by recording for characters that seem outside my comfort zone or that I feel I can add an interesting take to.
