Background information: UTAU is a voice synthesis program, akin to Vocaloid. Users can create voice banks for use in the program.
Objective: Create a Voice Bank for UTAU
PLEASE NOTE: No technical skills involving UTAU are needed by the voicer. The samples will be processed and programmed by me.
Character Info:
Name: Joshua Martin (Usually goes by Josh)
Bio: Personality: A daywalker who tries his hardest to be a cool, suave, respectable vampire but is really a huge dork who fails terribly at this (His vampire outfit is actually a re-purposed cosplay). Has an affinity for comic books and robotics, and spends most of his day indoors despite actually being a daywalker. Has a dream of one day selling his own line of androids, and is the president of the computer club at his school.
Age: 18 ish
Voice: Male (or female) VA who can do a convincing older teen (so, not too deep, but not that young either). A slight lisp and/or the ability to speak a nerdy language (such as Klingon or Tolkien elvish) is a hilarious bonus. Ability to pronounce Japanese style rs is preferred. Reclist will be provided (CV Japanese + CV english supplement (aka ths and Ls, ect.))(In the case of doing an extra nerdy language, this may have to be done after the initial recordings once a reclist is composed, as it will have to be done from scratch). Better quality mic, no popping and little to no background noise is a must.
Voicebank style: CV (Consonant Vowel)
Audition Preferences: a sample of Japanese or English singing (Preferably both). If you can only manage English, please provide a sample of your pronunciation of Japanese rs as well (ra ri ru re ro). Samples should be no longer then a minute long for each language.
Auditions should be sent to asparagusunited@gmail.com with the subject heading "UTAU voice bank audition". Please either attach the samples to the email or include them by link. As well, note any additional information you deem important (mic specs, other languages, ect.)
