  1. #1 Question for May 8th - May 14th, 2012
What do you do to break up that nasty reverb? Do you use foam, blankets, cushions? Maybe a friendly bundle of stuffed animals? Inquiring minds want to know…? I guess.

Because I have no job and therefore no money to buy sound-proofing foams, I use the clothes in my closet, old blankets and towels that we don't use anymore. Basically a clothes, blanket, and towel fort like Erica's.

I made up a little enclosure from DIY acoustic panels. Totally kills the room reflections, but doesn't sound like I'm in a coffin or a box.
Check one-two on the microphone . . . samples are HERE.

I just put a gamecube controller round mine, and anything else I can get my hands on.

I usually record in a walk in closet and then there's usually a huuuuuge blanket that I will place around the area my mic is. It sometimes looks so snuggly in there~
And I'll make sure there's like a towel on the door too.

So far, just the clothes that hang in my tiny closet (if I decide to record in there)
If you're gonna break the rules, be brilliant...otherwise don't break the rules
