I have a comic series in progress called "Guardian Ghost" which is the story of Max Tabzrt and his life after having a near-death experience. The second act is starting this week and there's a significant quality jump between chapters (especially the 4th one, you can see the drawings get better from the first page to the last page)
While it will never be a fully animated series, I do want to try comic dubs of some of the pages, mini comics, or on the rare occasion mini-animations (the animations will take forever since I procrastinate terribly on them) and I have almost all the main group of 4 characters secured except for the protagonist himself, Max.
I've tried doing his voice myself, and it works as a stand-in, but it wouldn't work if I ever had to start shouting or freaking out for some of his lines (which he does almost all the time) so that's where you guys come in!
I need someone who can do a 16/17 year old male voice, something that is a bit higher pitched than most guys but not pre-puberty pitched. (Think something like Eric Forman on That 70s show only with his pitch jumping to a higher pitch more often) that's okay with doing panicked shouting and just sounding nervous 99% of the time. His "s" sounds are also slightly more pronounced on random occasions due to a missing front tooth, something he corrects automatically by saying the word again, quickly, until it looses the sound. Then he continues like normal.
Max is just a ball of nerves. Very jumpy, always with an edge of anxiety to his tone, and can stumble on his words a little bit. And as he gets more panicky he gets a bit irritable since he's had panic attacks before and they're very annoying for him, so he just claims to be alright and tries to change the subject while he's still going to be on the verge of a panic attack for another 5 minutes.
He's also avoids or tries his best to ignore situations that could trigger a panic attack, keeping quiet but actually freaking out or getting angry on the inside. His self confidence and esteem is downright awful, and he's very self critical of himself, but again he tends not to show that a minor insult/critique really hit him hard and just keeps it in his head. And don't expect him to take any compliments either he'll just wave them off even if what he did was awesome and just mention some minor thing he did wrong instead.
He's basically a Woobie in the respect that he's had terrible things happen to him (some bullying in middle school that started the self confidence/esteem drop, and one bullying event later that would cripple his esteem/confidence for good, and physically cripple him since it partly caused his accident) but he tries to not be vocal about his issues, he doesn't even want people to feel pity for him (they usually do anyway). Mostly because people do that whenever he's panicking badly, and now having had the accident and survived people are going to ask about it and it's gonna bug the crap out of him.
Alright I'm gonna stop with the personality quirks and go right to the lines before I go overboard with the description
(also if you read through the comic and have other lines you want to try out for him, go for it, I'm mostly referencing from the 4th chapter with these, along with tentative ones I have planned later) I just want to get a good range of lines to make sure he's done correctly.
Feel free to adlib a bit on any of the fast panicking lines since he can start getting incoherent as he starts talking faster. And if you can't match the speed I have in mind I can always speed up the audio a bit. Also his normal pitch tends to waver at a higher level as his anxiety jumps and goes back to a lower level once he's calmed down or feels sad/angry about something.

1: (this is somewhat fast and frantic. He's trying to reason with himself in this first bit so there's a few spaces for breathing at first.) no no no this isn't happening this isn't happening... I am dreaming ..knocked out or.. not dead! This is a hallucination.. it just has to be I know it ...but my body is down there and no no no
1.5: (and then this next part is just in one breath now, really fast/loud, and practically incoherent case he is REALLY freaking out) NO this is NOT REAL there is NO WAY I CAN'T BE DEAD WHY IS THIS EVEN HAPPENING OH GOD IT'S TOO SOON FOR ME I'M ONLY 15 I CAN'T DIE BEFOREAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!
(1 and 1.5 are the same run on sentence I just broke it up in parts since it was getting kind of long)
(the rest of the in-comic lines are from Chapter 4, after seeing what he actually has to do survive and it's kind of overwhelming for him)

2: (kind of quiet, expecting the worst) ..h-how long have you been fighting these things? (ENFORCERs)

3: (angry/sarcastic but still an obvious anxious edge to his voice since he's about ready to panic, the words he he emphasizes are in bold) I'm completely okay with having to fight ghost monsters....EVERY NIGHT....JUST TO SURVIVE ANOTHER DAY...AND FIGHT EVEN MORE OF THEM!

4: (more angry and shouting in an exasperated manner, like "HOW DID YOU NOT GET THE SARCASM" . bold words are still emphasized) I'M ON THE VERGE OF A PANIC ATTACK WHAT DO YOU THINK?! (bonus points if his voice cracks badly on the bolded bit in this one)

5: (trying to calm himself down from a mild panic attack he had a minute ago. Very obvious shaking in his voice. Trying to laugh it off.) No no it's alright, *small forced laugh and smile* Heh..probably would have panicked for good news!

6: (worn out after all the panicking he was doing earlier, more sarcasm in response to an obviously not-reassuring statement from his Ghost) Awesome...that's so reassuring..

I don't exactly have a deadline for when the voice is due since I generally don't need voices that often, but the sooner you can get it to me the better so I can actually do projects sooner! I'm online almost every day and fine with contact requests/voice files at any time, even if I'm a bit busy I'll make sure to respond with critique as soon as I can
Also don't be surprised if I don't talk to you for months and then just randomly pop up saying I need your voice for something. Like I was saying earlier I don't usually do projects that often, but when I do I am TOTALLY READY TO DO IT RIGHT WHEN I CONTACT or can at least wait a few days. I'm not ignoring you it's just how my motivation ends up working usually.
