    I figured it was time to start a thread!



    Good news for all of you...


    I have received approval to run a Voice Over contest at AnimeFest this year. I am working out rules now and will have them posted here as soon as I can. AnimeFEST will be a dry-run of sorts to get any kinks out. I will then be bringing it to A-Kon and possibly San Japan in the future.

    Here is what I can tell you now..

    There will be professional judges that have actually worked in the industry.
    I am working to get sponsorship from a few companies
    Auditions will be sent in BEFORE the convention with second round and finals being onsite at the convention
    You can choose your own audition piece
    Audition should be of decent quality, but you don't have to have a professional studio at home



    As soon as rules have been finalized, I will post them here as well as the convention website.

    Also need to add for the monologues for the auditions, you're welcome to get creative. The point is that there is only one actor. No duets or groups.

    MAJOR UPDATE!

    The rules have had a few changes. We will allow audition monologues from manga as well as the other options. Auditions can now be between 30 second to two minutes.



    Here's the big news!

    I can happily announce this event will have sponsorship from Voice123.com!

    The winner of this event will receive a free one month subscription to the website! What does this mean? This means the winner has to opportunity to audition for PROFESSIONAL PAID GIGS!

    I have 2 monologs in mind that are just the right length for this.

    Quick question...
    I have done a voice over for a friend for free that got me onto imdb.com .
    I have also gotten 1, ONE, UNO...itty, bitty, internet commercial where I got paid.

    Do I qualify?
