... you think you've finished recording vocals, you sit down to edit (with favorite drink in hand), and you find out you sang several parts in the wrong key.

Dammit. I was excited too, because I had just finished rigging a homemade pop screen for the first time. I get so deflated when my recordings turn out like that, like I won't ever get them right.

Oh well. It might've been in the wrong key, but at least the filter worked... and I guess I still have my tea to console me. /wrists

Anyone else have any frustrating recording sessions recently? It's commiseration time.

Nearly every time I record/mix something. But then I finish my drink, and by then everything seems just unimportant enough that I don't care to rework it. Better still, most of the time those takes I hated are the ones most often complimented :/

Intoxication tends to let me be less of a perfectionist and more of an artist, if that makes sense. This can be a good thing and a bad thing, allowing yourself to play only with your passions can make for an unintelligible piece, while a cold and steady hand can lead to results that, while great, are unrelatable.

I know that feeling. Have done tons of retakes because I think that I did something wrong. I have tons of unpublished work in such a state. Sometimes I just roll with it since I know that I can't fix it right now. If someone also thinks the same way I may get some useful tips on how to fix them. A good way to learn from your mistakes, too.

    Haha! XD

I'm soon 21 and have never drunk alcohol. When I want to lose myself in a role I usually take up a mirror and act with both my voice and face. I often improvise just to get a feel of the character. Can get stuck behind the mirror for hours, sometimes. XD

I'm really a perfectionist when it comes to lines and singing. You mostly hear me say that it sucked as I still find little mistakes (and others don't hear it of course xD)
So yeah, I re-record things many times and give up when I don't nail it after several tries and then try again another day. Had that today actually. I think I sound too boring and monotone for a character. Only a few lines were good in my ears and the others lacked energy. Gonna try again wednesday xD

Due to technical difficulties it's unknown when Switch will come out. The creators are working on it in their free time.
