Hello everyone! I am currently in the process of making an Abridged Series based off the anime series, Gravitation and I need voices. The reason why I want to do Gravitation is because it is my favorite anime and it's an anime that hasn't been done a lot.
For people who have not heard of it, Gravitation is the story of Shuichi Shindo, the aspiring young singer of the struggling rock band, Bad Luck, who dreams to become famous. One night, he meets Eiri Yuki, a romance novelist with the worst personality who reads Shuichi's lyrics and dismisses them as garbage. Shuichi, furious with Yuki's criticism, searches to find him, and eventually they fall in love. The entire anime focuses on Shuichi struggling between becoming famous and winning Yuki's heart.
What I am looking for in this project is:
- For people who would put 100% into their work and participate until the end as I plan to do the entire series (which is 13 episodes) and possibly the OVA.
- For people who would be comfortable working on this project as THIS IS A YAOI (boyxboy) so if you're not comfortable with it then please don't audition.
- For people who are comfortable with strong language. There will be lots of swearing. It is possible that not all characters will swear but you must be comfortable with it just in case.
- For people with really good microphones as I don't want to hear pops, hisses, or any background noises.
- For people with Audacity. I don't know any other recording programs and it would be convenient for editing if necessary.
- For people with Skype (this is optional but I would advise it as it will help me keep in contact with you if needed).
- For people to HAVE FUN! This is a project meant to be fun.

Age: 23
Sexuality: Bisexual (but prefers women, Shuichi is the exception)
First Appearance: Episode 1
Bio: Famous romance novelist, ladies' man, and Shuichi's love interest, Yuki has the worst personality in the world; not sympathetic for other people, giving off sarcastic remarks, etc. Before getting together with Shuichi, he had multiple female lovers, but it all changes the farther their relationship goes. As the series goes on, he shows a more vulnerable side to him and even reveals his dark past.
Voice Type: low, monotone, make him sound almost like Simon Cowell if you can, British.
Line 1- I've got to be completely honest; these lyrics make me want to shoot myself in the head. You have absolutely no talent. I think you should crawl into a dark hole and die.
Line 2- (yelling) What are you, nuts? I'm not going to let you live with me! Your stupidity will rub off on the place.
Line 3- (sarcastic) Yes, because putting on a schoolgirl uniform automatically turns you into a girl.
Line 4- (crying) You idiot! I almost lost you to that Ass guy.
Hiroshi "Hiro" Nakano
Age: 19
Sexuality: Straight
First Appearance: Episode 1
Bio: The genius guitarist of Bad Luck and Shuichi's best friend, Hiro is the one Shuichi turns to when there's a problem, whether it's about Shuichi's confidence on Bad Luck or his relationship with Yuki. Hiro always gives wise words of advice, always willing to help his friend. He later falls in love with Ayaka Usami.
Voice Type: calm, medium to medium-low, try to make him sound wise but not wise enough to sound like an old man.
Line 1- (relaxed) Don't worry Shuichi. I'm sure you'll be the shoe-in that wins his heart.
Line 2- (Trying to sound wise) Sometimes the best words of wisdom come from within the heart.
Line 3- (angry) Listen, I'm not gonna stand by and watch as you throw Shuichi away like trash! He's my best friend and I'm willing to beat you to a pulp if that means I can put a smile on his face again.
Line 4- Playing guitar with you beats becoming a suit any day.
Sakano
Age: 29
Sexuality: Unknown
First Appearance: Episode 1
Bio: Sakano is an uptight guy who always worries about making a bad impression on his boss, Tohma Seguchi. The first two episodes, he is Bad Luck's manager, but he gets fired from the position at Episode 3 and is re-hired as Bad Luck's producer. He strongly admires Tohma Seguchi.
Voice Type: medium-low, uptight, do a really funny voice when he's freaking out and speak fast, but naturally give him a typical businessman voice when he's not freaking out.
Line 1- (freaking out) OMIGOD! Do you know how much trouble I'll be in if Mr. Seguchi sees this? I need to clean this up!
Line 2- (confident) Mr. Seguchi, I promise you Bad Luck will be the next Nittle Grasper! Well, they won't as good but they will still be terrific.
Line 3- (nervous) W-What do you mean, sir? There's nothing going on.
Line 4- (freaking out) Shindo, your relationship with Eiri Yuki is out! The president is going to have my head for letting this happen!
Ryuichi Sakuma
Age: 31
Sexuality: Gay
First Appearance: Episode 2
Bio: Lead singer of the legendary band Nittle Grasper and Shuichi's idol, Ryuichi is considered a genius in music. When the band split up for 3 years, Ryuichi went solo in America. After seeing Bad Luck, he, Tohma, and Noriko reform Nittle Grasper. Ryuichi has a mental condition that causes his personality to change depending on whether he's on stage or not. On stage, he is a singer who takes singing seriously, but when he's offstage, he has the mind of a 5 year old and wants to do nothing but play. He's always seen with his pink stuffed rabbit Mr. Bear. Although it's never mentioned in the anime, he's in love with Shuichi.
Voice Type: medium-high voice in his child-like form, make him sound like a crazy little kid. When he's in his serious form, use a normal medium voice and make him sound bad-ass. Think of Ryuichi as a rock star version of Yugi/Yami from Yu-gi-oh but just in the difference in personality change when doing your voice, not by actually sounding like them.
Line 1- (childish, laughing) Hehe! Shuichi is so funny!
Line 2- (childish) Mr. Bear loves you Shuichi! Ryuichi loves you too!
Line 3- (childish, crying) Aww, I want the cherry!
Line 4- (serious) If you can't put your heart into your song, you don't deserve to sing.
*NOTE: Aside from Shuichi, Ryuichi will also have some singing scenes throughout the project. If you wish to audition for Ryuichi, also add a 1 minute audio file of you singing an upbeat song along with the audition lines. You can choose to audition for either speaking or singing, however Ryuichi will be chosen by how well he is acted and how well he is sung. If worse comes to worst, I'll have two people play Ryuichi; one person play Ryuichi's speaking voice and one person play Ryuichi's singing voice.*
Tatsuha Uesugi
Age: 16
Sexuality: Bisexual
First Appearance: Episode 5
Bio: Yuki's perverted younger brother. Except for hair and eyes, Tatsuha looks like Yuki's twin despite the 6 year age difference. When Yuki, being the oldest son, refused to follow the Uesugi tradition and become a monk, Tatsuha was given the responsibility. He is also a fan of Nittle Grasper and is infatuated by Ryuichi.
Voice Type: as much as possible to Jason Griffith's impersonation of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006-2010 Sonic)
Line 1- HA! You're not as big a Nittle Grasper fanboy as me.
Line 2- (swooning) Oh, Ryuichi my love! Marry me, even though gay marriage is illegal in Japan.
Line 3- NITTLE GRASPER FANBOYS UNITE!
Taki Aizawa
Age: 22
Sexuality: Straight?
First Appearance: Episode 1
Bio: ASK's leader and singer, Taki is overconfident in his band and has quite a temper when things don't go his way. He dispises anyone that outshines him. His biggest rival is Shuichi, hating him for his voice. Taki is determined to get rid Shuichi by any means necessary.
Voice Type: medium, typical 80's heavy metal singer voice
Line 1- DYNAMITE! We, ASK, are going to be the best band ever, YEAH!
Line 2- (angry) Oh HELL NO! No one outshines my band and gets away with it!
Line 3- Ma, what the hell are you doing? And why do I feel hungry?
Yuki Kitazawa
Age: Deceased
Sexuality: Bisexual?
First Appearance: Episode 6? (seen only in flashbacks)
Bio: Yuki Kitazawa was Eiri Yuki's (originally named Eiri Uesugi) tutor. Kitazawa appeared nice to Young Eiri, causing Young Eiri to look up to him. Due to betrayal, Kitazawa was killed by Young Eiri, starting the birth of the cold hearted man named Eiri Yuki that Young Eiri became.
Voice Type: medium-low, somewhat creepy, something similar to Aizen from Bleach.
Line 1- (kind) I'm glad you like it Eiri. I know it means that much to you.
Line 2- (creepy) Eiri, Eiri, I will make you mine!

Tohma Seguchi
Age: 32
Sexuality: Bisexual
First Appearance: Episode 1
Bio: The lead keyboardist of the legendary band Nittle Grasper, president of NG Productions, Shuichi's boss, and Yuki's brother in-law, Tohma is one busy guy. He is considered a "genius" because he wishes to be. After Nittle Grasper broke up, he created NG Productions, working as both president and producer. When Nittle Grasper revived, he had become the band's artist and producer. He blames himself for what happened to Yuki in the past and so he does whatever it takes to protect him from getting hurt again, even if it means killing people.
Voice Type: medium, soft, very airy
Line 1- I'm sorry Mr. Sakano, but I don't think Bad Luck has what it takes to reach Nittle Grasper's potential.
Line 2- It's been a while since we've seen each other. How have you been?
Line 3- (serious) I am not threatened by you.
Line 4- (creepy) I don't care how important you think you are to NG; anyone who hurts Eiri shall die.
Suguru Fujisaki
Age: 16
Sexuality: Bisexual
First Appearance: Episode 3
Bio: As Tohma's cousin, Fujisaki is expected to be just as good as him when it comes to the keyboard. He was placed into Bad Luck as Tohma believed that Fujisaki's skills would help Bad Luck succeed. Fujisaki and Shuichi butt heads with each other when they first started working together; Fujisaki believing Shuichi is a "halfwit" and Shuichi believing Fujisaki is nothing more than a kid, but eventually they become good friends. Fujisaki's dream is to be known as his own person and not a shadow of his talented cousin.
Voice Type: medium-high, should sound almost like a kid but with a mature personality
Line 1- (irritated) I'm really sorry but I've got to be completely honest; Mr. Shindo, you're a halfwit!
Line 2- (crying) I'm being held here against my will!
Line 3- (angry) You idiot! What the hell are you thinking?
Line 4- One day, I'll surpass Tohma, and Bad Luck will be better than Nittle Grasper.
Young Eiri Uesugi
Age: 16
Sexuality: Unknown (for now)
First Appearance: Episode 6 (seen only through flashbacks)
Bio: The younger version of Eiri Yuki, Young Eiri was a naive innocent boy, very similar to Shuichi's personality. After being betrayed by his beloved tutor, Yuki Kitazawa, Young Eiri killed him. It was after then that he grew up and became Eiri Yuki.
Voice Type: medium-high, slightly irritating
Line 1- Oh Mr. Kitazawa, we'll be together forever and ever and ever, right?
Line 2- (sad) Mr. Kitazawa... why?

Mika Seguchi
Age: 28
Sexuality: Straight
First Appearance: Episode 1
Bio: Yuki's older sister and Tohma's wife, Mika is a strong woman. She deeply cares for both her husband and little brother and tries hard to help them through the ideal they went through. She was a bit concerned at first when she noticed that Yuki and Shuichi were going out, but she slowly starts to accept it.
Voice Type: medium-low, very womanly
Line 1- Okay, let's cut to the chase! I want you to seduce my little brother and persuade him to come back home to Kyoto.
Line 2- I kind of question what Eiri sees in you.
Line 3- (worried) Eiri, I know how you're feeling, but you've got to let it go.
Noriko Ukai
Age: 28
Sexuality: Straight
First Appearance: Episode 8
Bio: The female keyboardist of the legendary band Nittle Grasper and the only female musician in the series. After the band broke up, she worked as a studio musician among other things. Once Nittle Grasper got back together, she's always seen with Tohma and Ryuichi.
Voice Type: medium/medium-high, she should sound young
