Project information - For me, the entirety of the Final Fantasy X saga (stretching of course into FFX-2, the first ever direct sequel to a numbered FF game) represents one of the most finely composed narratives in the series history. The most touching moment, however, didn't reach us until the very last chapter in this stirring tale.
Three months after the defeat of Vegnagun, the girls of YuRiPa receive a letter which calls for them to explore the mysterious Yadonoki Tower. As they scale the massive edifice, our heroines must decide what their relationship with one another will be now that the allure of grand adventure no longer ties them together and divergent responsibilities lead them down different paths. When they finally reach the tower's peak, they learn that their friendship was not forged by chance and is destined to continue forevermore.
Unfortunately, the special International + Last Mission edition of the game was not released outside of Japan. Even more tragically, it was never dubbed in English, so Hedy Burress, Tara Strong and Gwendoline Yeo never had the chance to show off their considerable skills with this scene. The onus, then, falls on us amateurs to place our own mark in the legacy of this story.
I will be using the same script Heather Pace employed in her dub of the scene, so you can watch this as a reference. And even if you aren't auditioning, you should still watch it.
