Long. I don't mind straight or curly, just long. So that it's like its own entity sitting atop someone's head. To be a little vapid, I really don't think I look flattering with short hair - my hair is straight and thick.....

But I do like certain short hairstyles too (even better when it's suited for the person). Like this especially:
