Announcement: THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR AUDITIONS AND RE-DO's! However, I have recently been given a handful of new responsibilities for the summer that was unanticipated, since I had planned to make this my summer project. Therefore, I do not think it would be fair to any parties to try to force this project while I am having to give a majority of my attention to other obligations. In short, I will have to put this project on a HOLD until further notice. I truly apologize for the inconvenience and loss of time on anyone's part. I will still be creating a cast list and will assign parts by the end of this week, but will have to put scripts/recording off until I am able to devote more time to this project.
So, VAA community, I am proud to present a new original audio drama that I am very excited about and hope you will partner with me in it! The basic plot is that of a military prodigy with an impressive military lineage with a dark past and has been given five new recruits for his special task force called Special Unit Sparrow. This military prodigy, Richard Kilgore the Third is not the only mysterious figure, along with his phantom like assistant Major Matthias Tybalt, they are applauded for their work, but there are high suspicions about the legitimacy of their success. Kilgore's new recruits: Samson, McFearson, Butler, Lee, and Yorkshire are spirited young soldiers and proud to have been selected for such a prestigious team, but dark rumors loom in wake of their arrival and truth will unfold as all their stories unfold.

Good news ~ I have no real voice I have in my head for most of my characters, so here is your time to really be creative! Show me how they should sound!
Characters:
Colonel Richard Kilgore III (23)
A young military prodigy with a prestigious heritage and a dark past has new recruits he must train and continue his lineage as a great military hero.
Line 1: No matter how much time passes, that day is permanently seared into my memory.
Line 2: I’ve tried to purge it from my memories but it haunts me daily, but their blood floods my subconscious. My ears continue to ring with their cries, their screams, their last “I love you’s.”
Line 3: (sighs, clears throat) Well, Major Tybalt assures me you are all some of the finest that Asterid has to offer. Frankly, you all look rather puny and dull witted to me. And if you think your merits on the battlefield are what earned you a spot on Special Unit Sparrow, you're terribly mistaken.
Line 4: (quiet chuckle, sarcastically) Major Tybalt, I was wrong, looks like you are exercising that sense of humor of yours.
Line 5: [End of a speech, this is the climax] Will you stay and risk reputation and safety? Will you stay and hope to survive tomorrow? Will you stay and live with the consequences, whatever they come to be, respond to those consequences and find resolve and thus making another choice? You decide. Thank you.
Major Matthias Tybalt (30's)
A cool and calculating aid to Kilgore, witty, sharp, and precise. Protective of Kilgore.
Line 1: (chuckles) Of course I can laugh sir, but trust me, they're a good team, and you of all people should know outer appearance counts for nothing.
Line 2: In all fairness, he has not even reviewed your test scores or background, he's left that to me. He will determine your value to our unit as you go. So to your new commander, no, you are nothing special yet.
Line 3: Second Lieutenant Bailey, isn't it? You're S.U. Vulture, correct?
Line 4: Colonel Kilgore always reviews his paper work in his office at the twenty hundredth hour until twenty-second hundredth hour. He usually becomes rather dreary and his senses dull about nine thirty and it is just about nine twenty-five.
Warrant Officer, Flight Operations William Butler (23)
Quiet-spoken, unsure at times of self, wears glasses
Line 1: Sir, Warrant Officer William Butler, Flight Specialist, Sir!
Line 2: If I may sir, they [glasses] are attached to a band that fits securely around my head, they will not fall off.
Line 3: Well, I didn't think it was that boring. I mean, we will end up collaborating with some of the other teams.
First Lieutenant, Weapon Specialist Kyla McFearson (24)
Proud and spunky, strong sense of family and morality
Line 1: Sir, First Lieutenant Kyla McFearson, Sir!
Line 2: Sir, I am a tactics specialist and believed my skills would improve from being under your command, sir.
Line 3: (Biting) Hello, nice to meet you. And now for your first act of service toward us: Leave.
Line 4: We know the stories, but I mean he was on operations that were very dangerous and I'd always heard he had risked his life for his teams in both cases.
Strategy Specialist Trent Samson (26)
Proud and rash, action-oriented
Line 1: Major, forgive me, but it seems that Colonel Kilgore should give proper attention to his new recruits.
Line 2: Well, I mean, I thought after all that testing and proving ourselves for one of the top dogs in the military we'd get some sort of recognition from our new commander.
Line 3: Shit. That's how old my little brother is. Kinda pisses me off a bit to know there is a prodigy younger than me. That and apparently us three aren't good enough to be introduced to him. Who are y'all anyway?
Line 4: Right. Yet, conveniently, though the keynote speaker, Kilgore failed to introduce his own team? I mean, I respect his military accomplishments and all, but I sure as hell don't like how we're just overlooked by the "prodigy of prodigies."
First Lieutenant, Intel Coordinator Michael Lee (28 )
Tough and dependable, Yorkshire's best friend since boot camp.
Line 1: Twenty-three to be precise. Or so said my research.
Line 2: It was a little odd, even Tybalt wasn't mentioned and I've always heard Kilgore and Tybalt work off each other. I mean Tybalt, being his age and only a Major seems strange, but Kilgore doesn't seem the type to keep useless people around.
Second Lieutenant Dale Yorkshire (26)
Sarcastic, facetious, Lee's best friend since boot camp.
*UK accent - British, Irish, Scottish, Wales (Keep in mind each has regions with different sounds, pick one and be consistent)
Line 1: And young. Damn, he can't be older than twenty-five.
Line 2: Think something a'miss with it all?
Line 3: Well we are just first years, who's gonna' notice us till we earn some star points with our commander?
Second Lieutenant Chance Bailey (29)
Loud, obnoxious, over-confident, a solider from a different unit that is highly suspicious of Kilgore and Tybalt
Line 1: Oh, where are my manners, been talkin' to y'all and forgot to introduce myself. I am Second Lieutenant Chance Bailey at your service.
Line 2: Major Tybalt, eh? (chuckles) New recruits for the Little Ricky, huh?
Line 3: Touchy! Touchy! Geez, Kilgore sure picked people with the same amount of humor he has. At least my brother could laugh once in a while. Heh.
Line 4: (struggling from a grip around the neck, straining, grunting) What are you playin' at, Tybalt. I outrank you, don't try me.
First Lieutenant Weapons Specialist, Staci Gill (28 )
Roomate with Kyla, friends with Meagan and Lisa, very competitive, jealous of Kyla's position in S.U. Sparrow
Line 1: I just can't believe we're here!
Line 2: Well, I wanted to be on Sparrow, but I knew I didn't have a shot in the dark.
Line 3: (Lowered voice) Wait, what? That's impossible. [Finds out Kyla's made S.U.S.]
Warrant Officer, Tactics Meagan Kwon (27)
Roomate with Kyla, exceptionally intelligent, friends with Staci and Lisa
Line 1: I know! We're finally in the S.U.'s!
Line 2: (lowered voice) Actually, our other roomate I think is on Sparrow.
Major, Strategist Lisa Mock (27)
Roomate with Kyla, friends with Meagan and Staci, Very confident, athletic
Line 1: Ha, that's what I thought too, but I made it somehow! So, what about you Staci?
Line 2: Yeah, talk about an impossible examination for that unit.
Line 3: Kyla, you do realize no female has ever made Sparrow, right?
General Rollins (50's)
Grandfatherly but firm, long time friends of the Kilgore family, supports Richard as much as he can, sees him like a son
Line 1: Thank you. Welcome everyone, to orientation. For first years I am General Rollins. For second years, welcome back. For third years, thank you for your loyalty. For fourth years, you're either dedicated as hell or luck is on your side to have survived.
Line 2: Not to scare our first year recruits away, (chuckle) But our four year recruitment plan is not easy. You are all here because you are part of special divisions that requires a regimented four year training along with your field assignments. This is not boot camp. This is not for the secondary school drop out. This is not for the arrogant soldier who thinks he is better than the rest of Asterid's military.
Mrs. Leslie Kilgore/Richard's mother (35)

Line 2: (groans and sobs) Please! Don't hurt them! Pl-Ple-

Line 1: ALL OCCUPANTS EXIT THE BUILDING AND REGROUP IN OLD MAIN IMMEDIATELY THERE HAS BEEN A BREACH OF SECURITY.
