Hey there, this is my first demo reel, and I'd love to get some critiques and anything else that people have to offer. I'm pretty new to the VAA, so maybe this will be a good introduction to everyone here.

(Big thanks to Tara St. Michel for helping me make this possible, and for mixing this for me. <3)

Hi! you have a really versatile voice! It sounds really nice!! I think you have a sort of natural 'Lightning-esque" voice, from Final Fantasy XIII, so you should consider trying her out sometime!

Voice 1: Maybe it's your mic, but it seems like "S"s are being put above other sounds. Like I said, it could be your mic, or it could be your voice, but I would work on making the S sounds a little more subtle during post production. As far as mixing goes, the line and the song didn't really match up to me. I think, given the circumstance, it might work, but I think the line might have sounded better with a slower, more remorseful background track. But that's just me xD

Voice 2: Very nice! I liked this one, because it sounds like one of those A.I systems that you're just waiting to obtain self awareness and just wipe everyone out. XD But I liked this because you had a smoothness to your voice that really added to the 'Computer' aspect of this line. Great job!

Voice 3: This reminded me of Asuna Kagurazaka from Negima, mainly due to the attitude, but mostly due to the writing of the line itself. Also, you kind of had a "Luci Christian" ish style to this line, which is actually pretty cool cause she does these types of roles pretty well (she voiced Asuna haha).

Voice 4: Now, this one had an issue with "T" sounds. The word "tie" was an obvious one. It really just takes knowing that its coming up and taking necessary precautions to avoid/fix it. Other than that, the tone was appropriate for the type of line, and the music was fitting as well!

Voice 5: This reminded me of one of those intros to a music game, like DDR. Like, "Are you ready for this?!!?" kind of brought me back to the good old days. But I liked the tone you had, it sounded kind of like a challenge, which, in that case, it was performed superbly!

Voice 6: This kind of reminded me of a Naruto-ish voice. Have you tried voicing little kids? You might find an adeptness at it, who knows? I think the effect might have been a bit much. I would lower the level of the effect, to give it the more spooky feeling. XD

Voice 7: Very nice, upbeat, line! Reminded me of a sort of "Pokemon" esque line, but it was delivered expertly, and the music matched perfectly!

Voice 8: Very convincing, nice example of a more remorseful scene. I'm not sure if these are original lines, but if they are, I would go more in depth with this one. Just who was Rick? Did he "leave" her, or did he die? I would work to make those details a bit clearer in the scene. But emotion was spot on, and I really enjoyed this one! (Tip: In sad scenes, Rain always makes the scene come to life, I think I heard some rain in the beginning, which is pretty good, especially to bring the scene some color).

Voice 9: I grasped this as a sort of child-like teenager, but it sounded pretty good! I would bring the music up a bit, to compliment the voice a bit more, but other than that, nice work!

Voice 10: Ahh, a demo isn't complete without a Southern Accent. Nice choice of words, I think it really brings the "warm" and "homely" nature into the scene. Great job!

Voice 11: Rock-a-launch? I think this was supposed to be a rockslide or something, but I couldn't tell. I would bring the SFX up a bit more, to kind of put the listener in the scene more. As for the line, I liked the coughing, to show the difficulty to breath, as well as the delivery sounded determined, and very stubborn. Great job!!

Voice 12: Was this like, a female Goofy? xD I thought you might be going in that direction, but it still turned out to be a really good example of your more silly voices. there's always a project that needs those kinds of voices, and it's nice to have on hand for future projects.

Overall, I think you're well on your way! You have an EXTREMELY versatile voice, and that will definitely help you get lots of roles while you're here!

Saigo, I appreciate and give thanks for your honesty~! In regards to the strong 's' and 't' sounds, I'm pretty sure it's a combination of myself and the mic. I get pretty scared that I'm gonna lose sounds so I tend to overdo it. I'll make sure to watch out for that in the future! <3 Thanks again.

Hey there! I'm listening to the link provided, and while the singing's gorgeous (I'm assuming it's you lol), I think it's the wrong file. All that's there is some singing and a brief phrase spoken, and that's it. I'd love to hear what everyone else has heard too.
