Alright, a bit about this piece.

This is Cloud and Aerith in the flower field, their first meeting after 2 years due to Cloud's guilt keeping him from hearing her voice. He expresses his deepest desire and his deepest regret, to which she replies light heartedly.

I play Aerith in this. I'm very upset about who they cast "canonly" as her voice in English. I feel the actresses never get her feelings across, nor her personality. I wanted her to feel alive, despite being dead. But I didn't want to just be energetic. I wanted to be sweet, to give off the vibe that she does love him, that she missed speaking with him.
(Unrelated note: I will not tolerate "but she loved Cloud because of Zack" or "Tifa and Cloud are together" comments.)

I asked Dusk to play Cloud because, to be perfectly honest, I am in love with his Cloud. He expresses Cloud in a way I've always imagined. The subtleties of emotion really give off a lovely feel. You can feel how deep his hurt is. I'm always impressed by him.

Please comment and give me your feedback~♥

It was a pleasure as always working with you, Myko. I really think we have good vocal chemistry that offsets one another's performances.

I always enjoy your Aerith, it has that innocence and ethereal lightness that I always imagined Aerith to have. Mandy Moore was too womanly and deep, though I loved her emotion. Mena Suvari had the tone but lost the emotions. You found the lovely balance between.

For my part I've wanted to do this scene for quite awhile. I could not justify having Cloud not speak in almost whispered tones. He's vocalising his feelings for the first time in years, to a woman he cares deeply for. I felt the English dub of this came across too strongly in diction. Though had I have my own way, this scene would be a lot more drawn out.

The music choice really complimented the emotions.

Glad to have been a part of this.
