What's up guys?
With the success of my first cganimated short that I submitted to the youtube film festival, I wrote another screenplay. This time its Science Fiction! Love and war in outer space!
SYNOPSIS
There is another territorial war within the human race but this time its has gone stellar and the end prize is earth. The pilot, Ensign Lyman Tucker, was just awarded with the Navy Cross for heroic actions, an almost suicidal act that saved the fleet he is a part of... until he is ironically assigned for a suicide mission. His girlfriend and superior officer,Lieutenant Patty Bailey, supports him in any way she can but is it really for love or duty? Commander Ed Herman runs the show of their lives, how far can he push the two to sacrifice for victory?
This CG Film has alternate endings that could break or mend hearts. Happy Valentines Day by the way!
CAST
Major Roles:
LYMAN TUCKER – He is about to die but push him too far and you will see how he fights. (MALE)
PATTY BAILEY – She is always positive but when your boyfriend's about to die tomorrow... Motherly voice. (FEMALE)
ED HERMAN – Professional charismatic superior officer. Older intelligent voice. (MALE)
Medium Roles:
WARRANT OFFICER – The close aide of Commander Herman. Intelligent male voice. (MALE)
CONTROL TOWER OPERATOR – Intelligent Female voice. (FEMALE)
Minor Roles:
CREW MAN 1 and 2 – Just your regular guys. (MALE)
TRANSPORTER PILOT – A pilot supporting another pilot. Intelligent male voice. (MALE)
ADMIRAL – Grumpy old man. Selfish and demanding. (MALE)
Just like what I said, this is a short movie so the roles are going to be easy!
Starting today I am going to put together the scenes, the animations and begin a marketing campaign to promote this short while I give a week long audition for those who are interested. If you casted in my first short movie, you are more than welcome to recast!
The deadline is going to be next Monday, February 20. The day after, a PDF file of the screenplay will be sent to your email address with the confirmation letter.
TIPS:
a.) Limit background noise as possible, especially chirping birds for they wont last long in a space environment.
b.) Make sure your microphone is working properly and check if they have popping or squirting sounds.
c.) Send auditions early. I have to turn down a lot of great talents in the past because the rush slashed the quality of their performance by half. I am not kidding!
d.) Acting in your voice is the right way to do it.

LYMAN TUCKER
1.) An honest to goodness dead cow for once, after all those months of meat grown in a petridish. The navy has finally got something to offer me that I care about. (INTERNALVOICE)
2.)My buddies who died in Point Echo were the real heroes. Their families should have been the ones awarded with the cross. (sighs) This is so silly, forget about what I said.
3.) I know you wont pass a cheesy romantic moment like this, besides, I can't order you around. You are my superior officer. (TEASING)
PATTY BAILEY
1.) Odin might bea software now in a robot's body but I love him the way he is. Besides, I wouldn't have met you without him. (FLIRTY)
2.) Lynny, I... I haven't said goodbye to you. I'm sorry I wasn't so strong. I couldn't... (CRYING HURTFUL)
3.) Stop talking to him like you knew him! Nobody knows him better than I do! (ANGER)
ED HERMAN
1.) In behalf of the Fleet Admiral of the Navy, I present the 2nd highest decoration of the armed forces, the Navy Cross, for bravery and heroism to Ensign Lyman Tucker who's selflessness saved the lives of our men. (TOAST MASTER)
2.) Honestly, we don't know. We have to consider cosmic interference and possible enemy counter intelligence measures. But you are our best pilot Tucker. You can handle this. The enemy will probably not react that quickly. (SALES MAN)
3.) That pilot is my son Admiral, as far as I am concerned, he has already accomplished the mission you have forced upon him. We'll take it from here!(INSULTED)
WARRANT OFFICER
1.) Freedom 1's battle computer reports that it is still being chased by overwhelming number of fighters commander.
2.) Freedom 1 positively identified sir and he's in warp drive! That explains the sudden increase of energy and... transfer complete sir! We got all the data!
CONTROL TOWEROPERATOR
1.)What? Alright, proceed with the checklist while we clarify Freedom 1.
2.)Freedom 1's heavy guns have been scuttled sir, it will take a few hours to reattach and to recalibrate them to the spacecraft, should we still proceed with the mission?
CREW MAN 1 and 2
1.) With all due respect sir, your side arm's unstrapped.
2.) What the hell you think your doing?
TRANSPORTER PILOT
1.) We are approaching enemy territory in five minutes, Freedom 1. Get ready for launch. Decreasing speed now.
ADMIRAL
1.)Commander, order that squadron out there back to our position! You haven't received your sailing orders yet!
