Madoka // DaelynD: Amazing! I thought this take was fantastic. I loved how you went high and airy because it suits Madoka perfectly - and it was incredible that you were able to portray the heavy emotions in this clip while still maintaining the voice. My only nitpick is that a line or two sounded nasally - the "So Mami, what do you think?" stood out the most to me; it sounded like your nose was stuffy. But seriously, give yourself a pat on the back, because this was a performance to be proud of.

Homura // NicoleM: It's hard to critique myself, but overall I think as a AVA this the best I've ever done. Not to say there weren't a lot of things that needed work - my scream definitely sounded forced and it sounded like I was struggling with the voice until towards the end of the clip. My voice was too deep in the beginning but then got more comfortable as the clip went on. That, and my annotation at times faltered as well. I'll just have to keep working until I get it right!

Kyubey // YamashitaAyumuchan: I thought this was a wonderful take on Kyubey! It was clear that you found a comfortable tone that was very fitting. Another performance to be proud of! And big thanks for jumping in at the last minute. : )

Sayaka // Bree : I really like your take on Sayaka - you've got that tomboyish spunk in your voice that suits her well. However, when editing the takes we had to slow them down. Try working on your annotation and slowing down when you speak the lines. In this clip those two things are not noticeable at all though with the editing - which means that you've almost got it perfect! : D Great job and thanks for recording for us!

Kyoko // Haushinka: You had a fantastic voice for Kyoko! It's a shame you didn't have more lines, because I really wanted to see where you took it. Your performance was awesome so there's not much to say, but I think on the last line you could have put a little more "oomph" in the take. Otherwise, fantastic job. Thanks so much for helping us out!

Mami // Mippa: You have the perfect voice for Mami - sweet yet mature. I honestly can find anything to nitpick at, because you portrayed your emotions so well in this clip. You and Daelyn were definitely my favorite. Glad to be working with you again.

Kazuko // MissAck: Awesome! : D For a couple lines, you nailed the bubbly yet mature Kazuko-sensei! I loved your take; I can't find anything to nitpick. This was a fantastic performance! And it was a pleasure to work with you~

I don't really know the series so I can't really compare to anything or give a character by character breakdown but everyone sounded awesome in this and the mixing sounds great.

Here's some critique to the two voices I did recognize immediately.

@Nicole I really liked your performance and I thought you did quite well. I agree with you that you sounded like you were struggling with the voice a little throughout the clip and that the scream sounded forced. For the voice, my only tip that I can think of is to practice going higher than you need to then take it back down. That way it sounds really natural when you do the voice and your voice doesn't break on the top end of the character's lines (like when you go high and low within the voice you're using). As for the scream, I don't really know if I have any advice since I've never really had issues with screams due to it being one of my fav things to do as a kid XD. I guess just think about how you normally scream and just don't hold back. Who care if someone hears you screaming... if they get concerned just explain that you were doing some acting lines and I'm sure they'll understand. If the mic levels become a problem, just take it back a little or use a different setting if your mic has one (You mentioned on Facebook that you're getting a Yeti and that may have some options on it). If you have a pad setting (I know Snowball has -10db pad on setting 2) then that's great cause it's perfect for these kinds of things (and singing too ).

@Daelyn: I liked your take on the character. I agree you did go nasal in some places but it's hard to stay in the same voice for all kinds of emotions. What I tend to do is take a base voice and change the voice ever so slightly for different emotions. It'll feel like you're doing different voices for one character but in the end you'll find that with practice it sounds like the same character voice on tape except not forced into different emotions.

As for the rest of the actors.. as I said.. I don't really know the series or the characters. What I heard was good but I can't really critique you guys directly.

I realize that line may have been a tad bit nasally, but the director was fine with it so we kept it. I can see what you mean about staying in the same voice, but the reason I went lower in pitch in the serious scenes, and higher when Madoka was excited, was because that's how her character is. Madoka, when her voice becomes serious, does go a bit lower in the original japanese so I decided to do the same. It's part of her character. She has a very innocent and joyful side, but she also has that serious, responsible side. Thanks for the comment ^^
