  1. #1 Writer(s) wanted for series of videos
I am looking to begin producing a series of videos. I have almost all the staff positions filled other than writers (and music composition, but that's for another time). I'm afraid that none of us are all that creative to be able to write a script that we feel is on the level that someone that is creative could.

Right now we're mostly just looking for writers to help us make scripts for us to produce into videos. Not asking you to do more than one or even force you to do the whole thing yourself (I am helpful and considerate), but if we do get along and you want to I would love to start a long going project.

    just a p.s.
I love all genres, I will do any genre.(though I prefer to stay away from comedy that I myself do not find funny.)
We do only original work not parodys, or fan fic on other IPs.

I can be contacted by pm or reply here. Or
Email to machiniman@gmail.com with the subject: writer reply
I get a lot of email I may miss it without the subject

This seems interesting, though could you perhaps give us a little more information.

Namely things like how is the video aspect going to be done?
Is it live action or animated (then the question becomes 2d or 3d?)
    What age are you targeting?
Or is it just the age target that happens to fit in with the story?
And sorry for playing lawyer here, but I just want to be clear on what you mean by 'original work' as it mostly seems that you don't want to infringe on other people's copyrights, which I get and respect (as well as share your opinion on) but then the question becomes what of stories based on (either loosely or heavily) public domain works?

Sorry if some of these questions seem overly asinine, but this project does look like it could be interesting.

Another question comes in the form of the actual writing itself. Say I take a few jobs for you guys and come up with a really interesting concept with some great characters. Would those characters, since I created them, be my own Intellectual Property? Or would all of the rights to them be going to your team? Some writers are VERY cautious about their ideas. They don't want to lose those characters they brought to life, or the setting, story, etc. This is something you'd have to talk to the writer about, I'm sure, and hopefully you can come to an agreement.

As Aero mentioned, this project looks like it could be interesting! Undoubtedly! It's just that there are some unasked questions which you need to think about so you can make the best quality show you can, and so that you, your team, and the writer(s) all come out happy!

it will be animated, i am combining machinima from multiple games and rotoscoping them into scenes i've created elsewhere.
targeting a teen to young adult audience, though right now since i'm just trying to work with many people until i put a team together for my big project. I'm willing to animate a story that i had no part in creating at all if you already have one. I don't really care if a writer wants to aim younger or otherwise.
as for the IPs i mostly just don't want to put out a video called War of Stars with characters name Sky Luker and Hans Kono (if you catch my drift).

If it is your story it is your IP, you will receive full credit for anything you create. That said if you are the one that come to do the big project of mine, I already have plot worked out, I'm mostly looking for finer details and minor characters, so i'm willing to negotiate anything on that point. I will require that I be able to host anything that I make where ever i choose.

In short. i'm new and flexible. So long as i don't feel cheated i am willing to talk and negotiate on any points of conflict.
