I'm always doing a purge of the things in my house so stuff that is useless does not stay around for very long!
As for selling old stuff to buy new equipment... for me the answer is no. VAing is only a hobby for me and I am content with my mic (flaws and all). Producing is more my thing and my laptop does just fine with it, so no need to get a better computer... though I should consider it at some point (laptop is about 5 years old and still works like a dream!). If I had plans to go professional, I would just spend a few hours with a professional sound engineer in a booth and record an awesome demo reel. But that's just me
