For many years, fearsome creatures known as the Scathan have attacked residents of local towns, killing them on instinct. No one knows why they do so, or even how they form their appearance to be based on the people of this world. All that is known is that they are a threat to those who live in this world. To stop or even slow down this threat, the two mercenary companies of the world have created divisions designed to battle the Scathan, and to protect civilians from harm. Lightning, a top quality mercenary who is difficult to be friends with, and Laguna, a new recruit who leaves good impressions and is a kind-hearted man, are both given a mission that will reveal the true face of the world they live in, the truth behind people they know, and the source of the Scathan and what it means for the world.
You don't even need a vast knowledge of the Final Fantasy series to voice in the series, but it may help with certain lines of dialogue.

Gabranth
Owns the Magisters, the mercenary group that operates in Cornelia. Has a mysterious history that he never shares with anyone, but is still a kind man. Although he becomes a much darker person when angry.
Age: 34
Voice type: Somewhat deep, slightly gruff. British accent.
(Complimentary) "Good work Light."
(Trying to hold back his surprise) "L-leave that to me."
(Angry) "Listen to your orders!"
(Tone of Regret) "I've lied to you for so long..."
Cecil
King of Cornelia. A great, kind ruler and hero to his people. Has known Gabranth since school, as they were classmates, and they still remain good friends to this day.
Age: 34
Voice Type: Noble tone, somewhat like his official voice.
(Informative) "Your first mission is to check out the Clock Tower. There's been a report of Scathan attacks there."
(Welcoming) "Welcome. You must be Lightning and Laguna correct?"
(Exhausted) "No matter... what happens. I will not allow you to reach that piece!"
(Regrettable tone of voice) "I wish there was another way to do this..."
Terra
Queen of Ivalice. An incredibly powerful mage who always stands on her own feet, never relying on others. She is brave, determined and somewhat of an enigma. She has a past in Cornelia which she never talks about.
Age: Physically 18. 31 Chronologically.
Voice type: Tough, fearless, brave tone. Somewhat deep, but not too deep.
(Annoyed tone) "Will you stop talking about her!?"
(Apologetic tone) "I'm sorry. Maybe I should have said something back then..."
(Instructive tone) "Cid! Get ready to launch the Ifrit missile!"
(Quiet, almost a whisper) "Please... just do it."
Cloud
A former delivery boy for Windurst Delivery Services. After he had a talk with Laguna, his path leads him to a part of the world he never even dreamed of. A very determined person, and will follow his duties. Isn't afraid to speak his mind either.

Voice type: Deep, tough, somewhat noble. Unlike his official voice.
(Bored) "Windurst Delivery Services. We have time mages so your delivery is never late."
"Think I should try it? I doubt Prishe would approve."
(Excited) "Hey! Lightning! Laguna! How you both doing?"
(Determined, with a hint of regret) "Nothing... not even you..."
Shuyin
A young man who seeks something, and only he knows what it is. His intentions are unknown. He does appear to have a large interest in the Scathan though.
Age: 22
Voice type: Similar to his official voice. For the unaware, it's a more dark approach to Tidus' voice.
(Quiet, almost mumbling) "A thousand years of agony..."
"Listen, to my story."
(Somewhat relaxed) "So... you here about that Scathan sighting?"
(Angry) "What do you know about losing someone?!"
Mateus
A mysterious sage who lives in the abandoned islands of Midgar. Often visits the outside world, giving valuable advice and knowledge to people, even warning authorities on Scathan attacks. His past and his intentions are unknown.
Age: Unknown.
Voice type: Wise, soft spoken, calm.
"The snake slivers the world... looking for a temptation."
(Cunning tone) "Perhaps you should have looked a little closer... *chuckles*"
(Threatening tone) "Just remember who it was that kept you alive that day."
"I have evolved beyond the need for such things."

The owner of the mysterious mercenary group. No one even knows the name of it. He hides his identity from the world. What are his intentions? They are unknown. He seeks the origins of the Scathan.
Age: Unknown.
Voice type: Deep, menacing voice.
(Pleased) "So... Gabranth has a new pet does he?"
"What are Terra and Cecil doing now?"
(Demanding) "Go to the town centre... I predict unfortunate events will occur for you to fix."
"Another day passes..."
The Narrator
A wise man who has vast knowledge of the Scathan. Is also a storyteller, and often recites the tale of the legendary hero.
Age: Unknown.
Voice type: Deep, wise.
"Let me tell you a tale... A tale of the legendary hero."
(Worried) "The pulse of the earth. I worry about the future."
"If only there was another hero these days..."
"The Scathan... could the seal be weakening?"
