(approaching Simba on the battlefield, her long-awaited dream to wage upon him for the Pridelands): "It's
over, Simba! I have dreamed of nothing else for
years!"

(mourns the death of her son, Nuka - the only time she ever expresses sympathy and sadness): "Scar... watch over my
poor Nuka..."
(rapidly enraged by Kovu, who she believes killed Nuka) "
YOU!!! What... have you...
DONE?!!"
3.) "Kovu was the last born, before
you exiled us to the Outlands...
(mockingly expressing sadness to Simba about their living conditions)... where we have little food, less... water."

(yelling at Nuka for not watching over Kovu): "You were supposed to WATCHING HIM!!"
5.)
(yelling at Kovu for wanting to have a friendship with Simba's daughter, Kiara - a Pridelander, their enemy.): "FRIENDS?! You thought you'd get with the daughter, and Simba would welcome you with open arms??!! What an idea!! (upon realizing... it is a good idea) What... an... idea!

(snapping at Kovu): "Hush!" (then, very sweetly) "Hush, my little one..." (speaking to him in "baby-talk") "You-must-be-exhausted."

(relishing in seeing his grown-up son, Kovu, become a killer.): "You...are...ready! You have the same darkness in your soul as Scar had."
8.) "Oh, no, Simba... we have
barely began.
(laughs menacingly)
