"The Iceman", a major upcoming movie from Millennium Films, is now casting several co-starring roles for production which begins in January 2012.

From the producer of "The Expendables", this thriller will be a biography of a real-life notorious mafia contract killer and family man named Richard Kuklinski.

"The Iceman" will star Maggie Gyllenhaal and David Schwimmer. The movie was written by Morgan Land and Ariel Vromen based on the novel by Anthony Bruno, and it will be directed by Ariel Vromen.

The movie is being produced by Boaz Davidson, Laura Rister, Trevor Short, and Avi Lerner for Bleiberg Entertainment in association with Millennium Films.

    ROLES AVAILABLE:

    FEMALES

["Ellen"], any ethnicity, 18 - Late 20s. Ellen is an intelligent, goofy, and offbeat young woman who currently works as a waitress at a diner outside of New York. She has recently evolved from an awkward teenager into a stylish and unique young woman. Ellen is warm and cordial with all of the customers at the diner, and is on a first-name basis with most of the regulars----including Richard Kuklinski. She always greets Kuklinski and his family when they walk in, and she seems completely oblivious that Kuklinski is in fact a cold-blooded killer. PRINCIPLE ROLE

["Marielli"], any ethnicity, 30s - 40s. Marielli is a focused, dedicated, and stressed-out nurse who works at a hospital in New Jersey. She is very self-disciplined and competent at her job. Marielli has the thankless task of tending to injured patients in the trauma unit, and she frequently tends to patients who are recovering from gunshot wounds. She makes every effort to be professional and treat all her patients equally, but clearly some of these guys are mafia criminals. She becomes very uncomfortable when one of them tries to flirt with her. PRINCIPLE ROLE

["Sister Marjorie"], Caucasian or African-American, 40s - 50s. Sister Marjorie is a strict, ascetic, and mean-spirited woman who is a nun at a Catholic church in New Jersey. She has very little interaction with the outside world and has devoted her life to the Church and God. She believes in using harsh discipline against any of the children under her care at the church who talk back to her. When young Richard Kuklinski makes a comment that she doesn't like, Sister Marjorie quickly takes out a ruler and smacks his knuckles until they bleed. She shows no remorse for her abusive punishment and seems to believe it is justified. PRINCIPLE ROLE

["Elevator Woman"], any ethnicity, 50s. This pretty middle-aged woman is on a business trip and stands beside Richard in an elevator in the hotel. She tries not to panic about the disturbing conversation that she overhears him having with his buddy.

    MALES

["J.C."], any ethnicity, 18 - Late 20s. J.C. is a polished, hip, energetic, and well-dressed young guy who hangs out at an upscale and chic club in Manhattan. He is fresh out of college and has a smug look of satisfaction on his face. J.C. is surrounded by his personal clique of yuppie types at the club. While in some ways he has the appearance of a typical corporate executive, he also has a secret rebellious side to his personality. He has a suave manner which gives him the aura of a detached millionaire playboy. PRINCIPLE ROLE

["Detective Beaumont"], any ethnicity, 30s - 40s. Detective Beaumont is a serious, tight-lipped, and very formal man who works as a police investigator for the New York Police Department. He is very brief with his words and always asks direct questions which get right to the point. Detective Beaumont is investigating a mysterious unsolved murder case which he believes could be linked to Richard Kuklinski. He is eager to put Kuklinski behind bars, but proceeds very cautiously. CO-STARRING ROLE

["Maitre D"], any ethnicity, 40s - 50s. This maitre D is a stern, self-disciplined, and demanding New York City restaurant manager who often yells at the people who work for him. When Richard Kuklinski and his wife Deborah come to eat at his restaurant, the maitre D warmly greets him and treats him like royalty because he is a frequent customer. PRINCIPLE ROLE

["Medical Examiner Ross"], any ethnicity, 40s - 50s. Ross is a clean-cut, dedicated, and even-tempered physician who works with police officials in New Jersey. He has a very keen and focused sense of intelligence about him. When Mr. Ross examines a body discovered at a crime scene, he begins to search for evidence linking the homicide to Kuklinski. He is startled by a discovery that he makes. PRINCIPLE ROLE

Since this is a call for live actors, rather than voice actors, I've moved it to the Staff Recruiting section.

Yeah, I think this fits into Original Visual's description perfectly, though I'll agree it's still out of place in spirit and method. Also more people might see it here.

Hey, I saw a post for casting this same movie on Craig's List yesterday. Weird thing, though, is that there was a different email address for submissions. If you could tell me which one the correct address is, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! Also, can you say where this is being filmed? That would help a lot.

I saw this on another forum as well (DVX User), but with that e-mail address... However, I find it strange that they are posting on so many different forums and places. I wonder if it is spam?

Just posting to subscribe to the thread. On the off chance that this is a legit notice, I'm interested in the answers to Topleka's questions.

I was kind of wondering that too, especially since live action movies are usually cast where they are filmed right..

But I dunno, I'll leave it for right now.

Seriously, though...what kind of legitimately professional casting agent is going to look for extras on a forum mainly for hobbyist VAs, and why would they be using a Gmail address when they should be using a film studio website e-mail address? It looks unprofessional.

Yeah that's kind of true, and the poster hasn't come back since the initial post so I'm just going to close this since it's kind of fishy.
