I want to focus on voice acting, but hey, voice acting is still acting, so I'll need to enroll in an acting course. The thing is, my local community college is going to make me take other courses not related to this. They will bog me down with biology and math courses that will get in the way of the acting stuff. Should I just find a local acting school instead so I can focus on that?

By the way, I live in Bethlehem, PA, USA. Let me know if there's any good places you know of, because Google shows a ton of places and I don't know where to start.

Personally I would take the classes there since they are most likely to be cheaper than the acting school while teaching similar if not the same stuff. Also while they can be a chore the other courses are meant to balance out your day. Trust me, there IS such a thing as too much fun.

It's hard to say. IMO, unless you want to make acting a career (Very serious decision) I would stick with what you have. A lot of institutes can be huge ripoffs and certainly don't guarantee you a job.

Especially if you are focusing purely on voice acting, it's very difficult to make a living on that alone. Usually the best plan is to get a job proper to support yourself and use acting as a side gig, such as doing community theater or for VA stuff, working with local radio stations for commercials and such.

Yeah, it sucks taking macroeconomics when you dont need to. However, you'll be thankful for the income when push comes to shove. Theater is hard to break into, let alone the small niche of VA
